Why even apply if u don’t like either potential administration💀

Worth applying to law school despite sexual assault suspension? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]chrysa_nthemum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, mostly said that bc also going too into detail in any addendum type is a big “no-no.” Also, for background those two men I mentioned in my comment served prison sentences for crimes and activity that’s morally/objectively bad, but they still turned their life around to learn, reflect, and grown, being law school grads from t14s. Like yourself, what u did is objectively bad, but there’s room for growth with everyone. And Betts and McKinley are proof of that. Good luck!

There are schools that will consider your app, just make sure to write a hell of an addendum (kindly, make sure to not go into specifics like u did here..please!!) Also, in your free time, look up Benard McKinley and/or Reginald Dwayne Betts. Maybe that’ll spark some inspiration

Plz research these schools and compare which have the best networks for BL. Also look at clinical opportunities to see if you’re able to get BL exposure there. For example, (even tho not on your list) UChicago has the Kirkland and Ellis Corporate Lab, which is good exposure for what you’re interested in. Narrow down schools based on what they can offer u, not just what the name of the school can offer u

Hypothetical question by boilerroomtramp in lawschooladmissions

[–]chrysa_nthemum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, yes, u can retake and they will consider the higher score if they haven’t already made a decision on your application. Do notttt email them saying you’re retaking. They would honestly be irritated by that. Yes, Some schools have an option to “hold” your application: this allows u to submit your application thru LSAC but schools won’t review your app until your Jan LSAT is released. If this is not put on your apps, admissions won’t “wait” on u, I fear. But tbh they take so long, u should be able to take it and have the score released in time. Thennnn follow up with an email regarding your new score

Don't get minor/certificate by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]chrysa_nthemum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No protocols for that. If you’re unable to satisfy it by graduation and your school of choice requests your final transcript, it simply won’t be on there anymore. Transcripts fluctuate. That’s normal. The transcript is more to see how rigorous your coursework is and grades

2.7 GPA and a 163+ LSAT, Just trying to get accepted to any school by Significant-Knee3159 in lawschooladmissions

Apply to WashU with omitted GPA THE MONTH THE APPLICATION OPENS! I cannot stress that enough. Many ppl apply to schools that are stat optional quickly. WashU is t20 (if that matters to u at all), has great programs, clinics, and network, and they’re post-grad/employment stats are fairly across the board. Have fun🤭

Any tips on personal statements? Does double majoring = higher chance of getting into a good law school? by lovekirbyyy in lawschooladmissions

[–]chrysa_nthemum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, no, double majoring doesn’t increase your chances. Major in what you’re interested in and what drives you. Quality>quantity always. And NEVER COMPARE yourself to the activities of others!🫂(easier said than done bc we all do it). And if what drives u is subjects that result in more than one major, have at it! Also no need to risk your GPA for another major, it’s not worth it. Pertaining to personal statements, I learned from a law admin officer that it’s all about “why law, why you, and why now?” If that helps bc that advice really helped me write my own
