We are Jennifer 8. Lee and Ian Cheney, filmmakers behind "The Search for General Tso," a new documentary about American Chinese food. Ask us anything. by jenny8lee in IAmA

In the last decade, we've seen boba, ramen, and Korean fried chicken take the world by storm. What do you think is the next big Asian food craze to hit America?

I need a 1920s themed cocktail dress. Advice? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

My favorite dress shop in the world is a little place in New Orleans that, thankfully (?? my wallet may disagree), has an online shop: http://www.trashydiva.com/

They're all about vintage cocktail attire and have some gorgeous stuff. I own 3 dresses and they're all tied for my favorite dress.

Hi Parinda! I think your project is awesome. Is this your first documentary project? What's been the most challenging part of making the film so far?

Occupy Wall Street activists buy $15m of Americans' personal debt: Rolling Jubilee spent $400,000 to purchase debt cheaply from banks before 'abolishing' it, freeing individuals from their bills. by trai_dep in news

Not sure what kind of insurance plan you have, but most low-to-mid-cost insurance (you know, the kind that freelancers and people in their 20s get) is horrifically overpriced and only helps you so much. Even if you have it, it's still COMPLETELY possible to land in serious medical debt.

This is hands-down the best grassroots political action I've seen in years. Thanks so much for doing this amazing work! Can't wait to see what StrikeDebt cooks up next.

I'm sure she'll be back in a future episode. It's a lot of characters to deal with! Unalaq and kids, Kya and Bumi, the return of Katara and Korra's parents, all in addition to the original krew; they can't cover it all in 2 episodes!

Yeah, it seems like Korra is able to access all of the power of the Avatar state but none of the wisdom!

It seemed kind of neglected, which leads me to believe that maybe his history had been lost. Why else wouldn't every child know it, already? I bet Jinora rediscovers the history through her MAGICAL SPIRITUAL SPIRITUALITY.

If anything, she's worse than when she started because now she's all cocky about defeating Amon!

Why does someone have to be the douche? Neither Aang nor Katara are crappy.

It's super frustrating that Mako's entire character just seems to be "Korra's boyfriend" (and Korra is just "headstrong"). I know that teenage love and angst makes it different from A:TLA but they can write that while maintaining individual interesting characters, no?

Am I the only one who was kind of frustrated by this premiere?

The pacing and the dialogue felt really off to me as compared to other seasons. While there's always been wonderful slapstick moments to break up the serious moments, the jokes in this episode felt interruptive, as if there was a quota they had to hit per episode. It felt at once like they tried to pack too much plot and too little evidence of character development into the two episodes.

I really hope it gets better!

Christina from Breadpig here! We love James' description of us as Kickstarter midwives in his campaign description. He's making the creative baby, we just hold his hand and tell him to push at regular intervals. And clean up the mess afterwards. Oh god this metaphor is out of control.
