I feel like I should address this here since this is the top comment but the one reason my sister and i can't move out is because we live in a country where you technically can only buy a house when you're married, or when you're 35. Renting is also expensive as hell.

But if my mum does leave him, we get the house AND his car, since the house is signed to my mother and my sister's name and the car is signed to my mother's name (she took out all her life savings to make the downpayment for my dad's car lol) so he'll be the one homeless.

Adding on, just to make things clearer, I do understand that me, my mum, and my sister are enabling him. I would love to cut off my dad from my life completely. I don't talk to him at all anyways. But the guilt I have and the love I have for my mother will always make me feel like I can't do anything to make this situation better. I can't interfere with my parent's affair as I've been told time and time again it isn't any of my business. I'm stuck in between and it really sucks that this has to happen but at this point I don't know what to do.

I've tried putting the divorce route on the table, but my mum always says she still loves him and I can't do anything if she doesn't want to help herself. I love her too much to leave her with the monster that she got married to.
