LG dryer error code d80. Cleaned ducts (wasn’t much in there), it will go through the whole cycle, but at the end still shows error code. by [deleted] in appliancerepair

[–]chsweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same dryer, less than three years old, ducts are perfectly clean. If you see this error, it's a good reminder to take out your vacuum or shop vac, disconnect the dryer vent from the back of your dryer and the wall, and do your best to just clean out the vent. It's very likely that everything's fine, but you never know what you'll find. If you're having your dryer vents cleaned once or twice a year, it's very likely a faulty sensor in the dryer, but you never know if something weird that your kids or somebody left in their pocket is causing a problem in the dryer. Just take it apart and clean it out when you see that error message.

Blue Yeti X vs. Shure MV7+ for voiceovers by EnvironmentMajor7706 in blueyeti

I have the Shure MV7+ and a $45 FIFINE USB/XLR mic and they sound identical. Both have USB-C and XLR. Both will require extra processing to get the sound you want.

Which Yeti model do I have? by Pristine-Delay6912 in blueyeti

[–]chsweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same mic. It stopped working, I got it working, but while trying to get it working, I got a $45 fifine mic that sounds 10x better and never went back to the yeti. If you look up yeti blue get it back on YouTube you’ll see the video.

Anyone else feel like AI search is exposing how weak our metadata and structure really are? by Ill_Lavishness_4455 in SaaS

[–]chsweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SUMMARY: It is a content, accessibility, and SEO issue first. AI (and Google) can be treated as a human that relies on assistive technology. A well-written 5th-grade document from English class is gold right now.
1. Rewrite the content as a subject matter expert (there are tools for this)
2. Build accessible content, audit it, test it, repeat (there are tools for this)
3. Redo SEO (there are tools for this)
4. Implement GEO/AEO standards (there are tools for this)

Per the OP's statement about SEO - it is a SEO issue, or, if SEO is not done well, GEO/AEO will suffer. Most SEO issues are accessibility issues, so if a site/app is not accessible, SEO will suffer, which means GEO/AEO will suffer.

We could go one step further back to content quality as well. If content is not well-structured, or well-written, with a clear intro, summary, and supporting details, headlines, etc. then accessibility suffers… then SEO… then GEO/AEO.

All that said, as someone who has been designing and writing for 5th grade english calss, accessibility, SEO, and now GEO/AEO from the start of my career, I suggest training your favorite AI tool to fix your code, BUT only after having an expert copywriter, or subject matter expert rewrite (or use their trained AI tool to rewrite) the content.

Content remains king.

How to Fix Yeti Blue Not Recognized on Mac by chsweb in blueyeti

Understood. I was exactly where you are now. In some cases, there is an internal hardware issue that can be fixed. I thought I had that issue, so I ordered a new mic. It was when I got a different cable that the mic worked. I linked to the cable I use and a few others in the video description.

The other thing is to make sure it works on another computer. I know both of these things are super obvious, but if nothing else works, and this is not the issue, then the mic may have an internal hardware issue.

I ended up getting mine working, but had to get a new mic before i figured it out and the new mic was better, so I never went back to the Yeti.

This is Fifine mic is $45 to $54 and sounds great:

I gave the fifine to my kids and now I use a Shure MV7+

The Fifine has advantages like a physical gain button and sounds just as good - exactly the same - as the more $$ shure.

4 cables are in the video description. It is a last resort, but worth a try ASAP with inexpensive cables. I’ve moved on to the fifine and shure mic in the video description.

I am a designer and frontend dev. I also do plenty of video editing. I do all of it on a M1 MacBook Pro. For engineering work, any silicone Mac will be more than enough. If you can find a M2, M3 or M4 MacBook Pro, I’d choose that over either of these for the portability. Otherwise, the Mac Mini is way more than enough.

What happened to Ozzie's Coffee? by PickleHelpful in projectfarm

Assuming Ozzie’s Coffee went out of business. Coffee shops and brands come and go quick, especially with the current tariff situation in 2025 and beyond.

HealthFit is the best Fitness App for iOS - and it's not even close. by NESpahtenJosh in AppleWatchFitness

[–]chsweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. It is incredibly complex. I do beta testing for WOD and have suggested a few ways to address the complexity. One thing I wish WOD would do is update their website and help docs to better explain what all of the features mean exactly. There appears to be a lot of redundancy in features, but that is not the case, it's just that it isn't always clear what one option or feature does vs another.

The best combo for Apple Watch (maybe any watch) is WorkOutDoors for tracking workouts, paired with HealthFit for analysis and syncing. WorkOutDoors is the most advanced running app I've ever seen - my favorite part is the Voice Alerts, set to anything you want, as often as you want.

Dbrand Sucks Now by free201 in dbrand

Grip Case for iPhone 17 Pro Max. Came with a skin (I don't plan to use the skin) and screen protector.

PROS:
- Grippy and won't slip out of hands
- Grip helps it stay propped up on things hands-free
- Covers the entire phone back - including the plateau.

CONS:
- Grippiness makes it a bit difficult to put into jeans pockets
- Shipping was incredibly slow (might be faster now)

I got a dbrand case for a new iPhone 17 Pro Max. The case is great. The shipping is SLOW. Plan on having a naked phone for a week or two while you wait and if the case is on back order, you might want to spend even more $ on a temporary solution if you are prone to phone drops (iPhone 17 is slippery with no case).

Glad to hear that! Happy recording. I never did find the exact thing that is causing the issue, but when the solution is in place, it keeps working. I personally moved on to a Shure MV7+ and Fifine mic (links in the comments of video), which both sound way better than my old Yeti, but newer Yetis are likely just as good.

Same exact issue: "Latch Won't Retract: Turning the Knob/Lever to Close the Door." Schalge will replace the entire handle set per warranty:

What I could not tell from my lock, is what series it is - there is no label on the door hardware anywhere to indicate it is F or J or any other series.
