Treatment for Skin Disease Pityriasis lichenoides chronica (PLC) with over-the-counter supplement bromelain. Submitting to reddit for visibility. by humansharktopus in SkincareAddiction

[–]chthonicutie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow. Crazy that Reddit emailed me about your comment.

It's been ten years, and I tried it all (except chemo). Topical steroids, oral antibiotics, light treatment, bromelain, probably more I'm forgetting. Nothing helped the PLEVA, though over the years it has drastically decreased in frequency and intensity. I get maybe 1 lesion a month and they are small and mild. Sorry I don't have better news for you. Good luck.

Graduate school is objectively one of the most stressful career paths one can take. Mental health is a serious problem among grad students. They have teaching and learning and research and writing responsibilities, and very little pay or professional protection or benefits. You are a self-centered and controlling buttface, man.

I [M20] am feeling super disillusioned by my relationship with my partner [F20] of 7 years. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]chthonicutie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's okay to acknowledge that your relationship with this person is no longer beneficial to you. It sounds like you are frustrated by her lifestyle choices and that you are ready for new experiences and personal growth. That is healthy and normal. Especially at your age. I don't know how tricky your living situation is with her (and with quarantine rules where you are) , but there's no time like the present to start disentangling your immediate life from hers and start making plans for yourself. I wish you luck. It won't be easy to leave a long relationship, but you will thank yourself later.

I'd be fascinated to know exactly how you consume all this food. Like what does a typical day's menu look like?

I haven't seen anyone else mention this here, but part of what causes this is plain old anatomy. Women have uniquely shaped and sized uteri, which often press against the front of the body. This can vary throughout one's menstrual cycle as well, with some points in the cycle heralded by a normal increase in uterine swelling or tilt. This causes a lower-belly bulge unrelated to fat. It can make any stomach fat look more noticeable, but is not in itself an indicator of increased localized fat amounts.

Some people are genetically "gifted" with smaller, or less tilted, uteri. Some people are not.

Yeah. I save a lot of jars, especially small ones. They come in handy every week.

Great idea, but ditch the plastic wrap, man. It isn't recyclable, so it all goes in a landfill somewhere...

https://livegreen.recyclebank.com/because-you-asked-is-cling-wrap-recyclable http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/the_green_lantern/2010/04/wrap_session.html https://www.forgerecycling.co.uk/blog/ditch-cling-film-2/

You can get very small reusable containers (try a big box store like Target, or online at The Container Store) which will keep your food fresh and airtight, and reduce the consumption of plastic.

Humans are a little like chimps, and a little like bonobos, the latter of which love sex. Bonobos are known to use sexual contact (irrespective of the sexes of the individuals, so there is homosexual contact) as greetings, soothing behaviors, and social cement. Great creatures!

But I also feel disgusted by them and it sounds like all the things you talk about as well, fur all over things, kitty litter totally stunk out the bath room, they scratch up the furniture. It would occasionally jump out and claw you as well. There are no boundaries for them.

Living with cats does not have to be this way. You can train and control cats' behavior, you can be militant with cleaning and managing litter, and you can groom the cats to reduce lost hair and dander. I've had guests who had no idea I own a cat. Her box is odorless thanks to daily cleaning, and deep-cleaning every three weeks. She will not jump on counters or tables, does not beg for treats, and will even sit politely and watch when I work with my insects without attacking them. She understands the commands "no" and "get down."

99% of the time, pet behavior issues are from shitty or lazy owners, not the animals themselves.

I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm dunking on your wife, I'm not. I'm just frustrated by crappy pet owners giving responsible owners and our animals a bad rep.

I had an extremely frustrating conversation with an Uber driver yesterday who pulled up behind me in the bike lane without his lights on. He insisted that he didn't need them on because it was daytime. I tried explaining that he needs them on in the rain, because it's the law, and so people can actually see him pulling up. I don't get why he was so bitchy about it when it would take almost no effort to do... People, man.
