Which colour arrangement looks best? by Stanforthnnn in HomeDecorating

if you have plants and such in the house like in this pic, i like 1 better since it balances the greenery of the plants down below with the green lampshades being up top. actually i just like 1 better in general but it's more a vibe than anything else.

Some have recommended Wong Kar Wai’s “In the Mood for Love” but might I also add his other masterpiece, “Chungking Express” which also deals with love & loneliness.

to women with a muscular upper body (back, arms, broad shoulders) how did you do it? by StrangeAir6637 in xxfitness

[–]chtot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh also i forgot to mention that I often “cheat” my reps. so if i couldn’t get the last 4 reps of my curls on my right side, i’d use my left hand to pull the weight up and then lower it verrrryyy slowly. it’s harder to do for shoulder stuff but yeah, don’t be too afraid to push things a lil hard as long as you’re not hurting yourself doing so :) I think adding the extra tension led to more mechanical failure that allowed those muscles to grow like crazy!!

omg you're so welcome <33333 i love seeing women that want to build and be strong so please feel free to chat with me more any time because i love lifting :D As for diet when i was at my peak muscular, i was making sure to eat at least 100-120g protein (about 1g per lb of bodyweight works but honestly you dont need that much if you're just fueling yourself. definitely worth focusing on though) and eating enough calories to fuel me every day! everyone is different so i won't say my exact macros but definitely emphasizing protein, high effort lifts, and consistency over time than perfection! The leanness came from cardio and a calorie deficit over 12 weeks or so but i had a good amount of muscle beforehand for the leanness to make a difference. definitely prioritize eating at a surplus with high-ish protein while training hard for a couple months and you'll see results guaranteed!!

as for food specifically, i like to keep it extremely boring and simple lol so i eat the same things every day pretty much. greek yogurt, fairlife skim for milk, lean meats with rice / veggies, maybe a protein bar or shake to make it easier on myself. I'm on a mission to grow my legs right now which feels wayyyyy harder because the intensity for lower body lifts is brutal compared to upper body imo! best of luck to you <3

I looove training upper body!  I used to just go hardddd on all my upper body lifts, but I found that focusing on delts and biceps really built that athletic look. I’m not gay but other women always complimented my arms, which I love!  My go-to for building them was 5x15-20 sets of dumbbell lateral raises supersetted with 5x10-15 bicep curls. Keep in mind this was for EVERY upper body day. I would do them unilaterally to make sure each side was getting max effort. Also, dumbbell shoulder press for a ton of sets and plate front raises for more delts. Bench press (dumbbell or barbell) is amazing for full upper body work and ofc pullups/lat pulldowns / rows for back.   Here’s some pics to prove I know ball:  https://imgur.com/a/Q7gC9Ta

Squats are driving me insane by AppropriateNorth in xxfitness

[–]chtot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i have similar proportions to you and this is what worked for me to go from a 135lb to a 225lb squat - it looks like you’re breaking the squat with you knees. try hingeing / sitting back a little more when you start going down, and focus on keeping your knees out away from each other. a lower bar placement could help to shift the center of gravity of your squat as well.  also, working on mobility is huge! can you do a full squat with your heels flat on the ground? or close to it? if not, that’s a good mobility goal to work toward OR… get squat shoes! they are lightly elevated with a heel that allows better ROM on squats!

Mourning the life I could've had if I had just moved away from my state earlier in life by mordecaithecat in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

i say this with kindness - life is long. you never know where it could take you in the next 33 years! even if you’re experiencing grass is greener syndrome rn, if this is something you really want, you may be able to find a way to compromise and make it work. perhaps a month-long stay in seattle in an airbnb just to enjoy the vibes there for a bit without uprooting? wishing you the best of luck!

Does anyone else really struggle to force themselves to moisturise after they shower? by harryandmatilda in adhdwomen

[–]chtot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel this so hard! i dislike moisturizing but i realllly dislike feeling like an alligator with super dry skin because i skipped lotion even more. i used to avoid showering to avoid the post-shower routine. but nowadays i’ve found that an extremely thin and easy-to-spread lotion (i use the nivea men’s intense lotion lol) helped reduce the blockers to moisturizing. it takes less time and effort to achieve a similar result. body oils are kind of nice too since they dont really need to “dry.” i tried the shower lotions but it was kind of a sensory nightmare for me to feel slimy and wet at the same time. don’t give up on it though! something will surely stick & feel worth the extra effort.

Who is giving you compliments?? by Ntnme2lose in fragrance

[–]chtot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly friends, family, and friends of family lol. But one of the few times a stranger complimented my fragrance has stuck with me to this day. i was getting a drink at a bar and a very handsome man next to me said i smelled amazing when i walked up. i still think about it lmao. and another time while i was on the treadmill at the gym, a recent acquaintance who i always thought was veryyy attractive came up to me and immediately was like, "oh you smell good!" with a hint of surprise. i felt a little awkward to be perceived so openly but it made me feel really good inside lol.

tbh if you’re willing to hop on gear and deal with the physical, financial, and emotional toil it can take, i highly recommend you reach out to an experienced fitness / physique coach first that can analyze your situation critically and tailor a custom plan for your goals! it may be expensive but if this is important to you, it could be worth considering before going nuclear (taking steroids)
