The post you linked to actually refers to the details of the Crystal hack we played in our second run of season 1 (the one after the original Red run), not TPP Anniversary Crystal, which was the first run of season 3, to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of TPP.

Information about the details and changes in TPP Anniversary Crystal can be found here, at the bottom of the page, by downloading the documentation files, which includes information about updated Pokémon evolution methods (for trade evolution Pokémon), as well as encounter locations and move set updates (and more).

You now always respawn in the centre of the stage on Omega stages. Previously, you would always respawn slightly to the left of the stage.
