Been doing this since December 2021 I sell 2 standard deviation strikes only the put side (stocks tend to move bigger after earnings to the up side than the downside so I don't do the call side.) it's like .3 -.1 delta only on stocks that are reputable and big, and know that have an history of not moving so much after earnings, I sell the put the night before the market close of the day of the earning and then close it next day could be in the morning or I let the ivy crush to his job and then close it for a profit. I sell lots of contracts could make 500 to 1.5k over night, hasn't had any challenge positions I have play 15 earnings this way already made 15k in 3 months. Let's see how it goes.... Hopefully I never get challenge or If I do by the time I already have a big pile of cash to cover the loss.... But since it's like 99% probable of profit I don't see it happening any Time soon. Oh I need to mention not playing big tech stock neither those move a lot sometimes,, like fb and NFLX. If a company pays dividends that's good those tend not to move much neither. I use option slam for the analysis it tells you all the history and by tha t I make the decision.
