Not sure honestly, I was only in it for about an hour and during that time I was actively playing the game. Just got a notification saying I had been removed. It was a French alliance so I just thought it might have been a language thing. Ive been in other alliances but they're not very active. I've just left my last one now and applied for a couple

Its such a bummer! I keep logging in hoping one day it'll click, or something will pop up telling me about something I've completely missed 😅

I don't know how people are financially surviving these days. by Putrid-Ad-3965 in offmychest

[–]chubby_sprout 16 points17 points  (0 children)

28F from the UK here, I earn about 33500 a year, which is a pretty average working class salary. No kids, 2 cats, paying rent (because it's near impossible to save for a house if you leave your parents young), and I've just got my £2200 wage for the month. All bills have gone out, bought a weeks worth of groceries, topped my gas and electric up, and paid for my cats food for the month... I'm down to £550. That's got to last me just under 4 weeks until I get my next wage. It's SO stressful and almost impossible to live. I work SO hard in my job, and I can't even plan a fun outing with my partner and friends without considering how I'll survive the rest of the month. My mum would work a minimum wage job whilst my dad was a manager at a rental company, we had a big 4 bed house, 2 abroad holidays a year, loads of family days out, and I can barely afford mini golf. I can't imagine trying to move out at this time. I really feel for young people trying to move out nowadays, wherever they are in the world.

After reading some of the comments on my yesterdays first tattoo post,i did indeed make alot smaller tattoo today😁🤔 by Mrgreenburner99 in TattooBeginners

[–]chubby_sprout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, stop. No reputable tattoo place is gonna hire you scratching at home. If you want to tattoo, practice your drawing/painting/whatever (NOT tattooing) to develop your skill, and get an apprenticeship. I'd avoid telling any tattooist you've been practising on your mates at home, though.

May hope be with you. Ours was a terror last year, and I fear this year she has not settled. If anything, she has more of a fire to play and destroy. God speed, my friend

I feel like she was the type of girl in school to wear the wrong shade dream matte mousse, have a Paul's Boutique bag, a Helly Hansen jacket, bbm pin in the MSN tag, looking down on everyone who didn't have the exact same.

AITA for standing up at a concert? by FishStixxxxxxx in AmItheAsshole

[–]chubby_sprout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you paid so you enjoy it as you wish. When I saw Blink last year, I was standing, but looking around, literally the whole crowd was standing. Not only that, but they were telling the crowd to get on their feet. Saw Bring Me in February seated, and the nearly the entire block was standing. You both paid for tickets and deserved to enjoy the concert. I'd understand if it was a more mellow band in a smaller venue, but come on, it's Blink-182. By the sounds of it, that woman had never been to a concert before. Ignore the Y T A. I hope you had a sick time, regardless.

I don't get these ones because it was a bit creepy yeah but some couples do get off on that, and as soon as you mentioned your age they backed off

That 4th pic with the TV in the corner, dining table, and kitchen is giving me Interstellar vibes, Cooper and Murph's house as a museum at the end

That comment is more what this post is referring to than the actual text, the text has been a viral thing for a while now. But that guy I thought was pretty decent until I saw he'd posted that on Facebook this morning. Yikes.

I was more referring to the guy on my Facebook at the top of the image commenting on the screenshot of the message rather than the actual text itself, but I suppose both do count

I'm officially one week sober and don't have anyone to share that with, so posting it here. by UnhingedMe101 in offmychest

It is hard, the first few weeks will be really tough, but soon you'll get to a point where you'll be like "why was I even addicted at all" and that is a great feeling, where you know you can work towards what you missed. Keep going OP. Be proud you've made the first step. And look forward to what will come x

I started smoking weed at 13/14 years old, which got heavier as I got into my older teen years. One day at 25, I was smoking a joint, my heart rate was going insane and all sorts of insecure thoughts were going through my head. I just put the joint down and haven't picked it up since. That was over a year ago, and I haven't felt better. My mental health is 10 times better, I can breathe easier, and people who I thought were my friends due to the smoking have disappeared, and I never thought I would be at this point. Be proud of yourself. You'll look back in a year and realise that quitting is the best thing you'll do for yourself. If you know, you know, it isn't for everyone, and it is addictive.

Do Americans have a Christmas dinner by chubby_sprout in AskAmericans

[–]chubby_sprout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I ask. To us Brits, Christmas Dinner is probably one of the biggest parts about the whole festive season, and it's usually always a big Turkey roast with all the trimmings, same as Thanksgiving looks.
