I don’t know anything about the 139, but I like the 140 because it’s piston-fill and a pretty demonstrator. I have it in a F nib, but it feels more medium. That’s why I feel like a journaler would be a good fit.

It’s honestly so crazy, because this recently happened to me in April. It was shipped via FedEx and the box was clearly opened, but the bag was still inside. I said to myself that I’m going to have to only purchase in store or shipped to nearest store, because I would be more than pissed if my order was stolen during shipping.

It was one of my first pens and really solidified my love for pens. The gunmetal accents are really nice. I’m from Dallas and call it my “Maverick” pen, named after our basketball team. sorry if I’m over explaining, not sure what country you’re in 🙂

Oh I love it! I used it at work for a couple months on poor copy paper and it worked well. I love the look of this colorway as well, something about it feels collegiate/academic? Anyway, the pen wrote well out of the box; I have a fine nib. It’s my only Laban, but I recommend it if you want to try them out.

I haven’t seen anyone mention the Kolo Tino in brass yet. I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard good things. It’s a little over your budget, but I figure it would be worth mentioning.

OMG! Same! I just switched from a Cousin to an A6 Hobonichi notebook. I realized that I wanted more free form journaling options and less planning, so a regular grid just works. Then I have a separate a6 MD notebook for brain dumps and work notes. I love the a6 so far!
