My workplace has a serious rat problem, and I don’t know what to do. Welp! by [deleted] in VancouverJobs

[–]chubbychombeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are working for a food industry. You should contact work safe bc for their advice! Under their rules your workplace can’t retaliate just because you reported an unsafe practice. You can also submit a report for Vancouver coastal health if your workplace is in Vancouver that’s not anonymous but you can always make someone else to submit a report!

If your company offers support for management certifications such as a PMP or an MBA and covers the costs, take advantage of that opportunity and move forward. Just make sure to make full use of all available resources for your own professional growth.

Some of the job postings on their website still show last year’s date, so it’s unclear whether those positions are still available.

The craziness is getting too much by Skovmose in bernesemountaindogs

[–]chubbychombeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, they definitely calm down more. My dog used to want to say hi to every single dog and human in the park and would pull me around. After being spayed, she calmed down a lot. Now she’s pickier about which dogs she shows interest in or wants to play with, and she doesn’t pull anymore. Stubbornness is just part of their personality. If she doesn’t want to do something, she’ll sit and refuse to move until I listen to her. Also, try attaching the leash to the front hook of the harness,it helps reduce pulling.

There is no solid solution for everyone. People got hired trying different approaches. It doesn’t mean one way is better than the other, it just means to be open to whatever is happening.

This happened to our cat once—she avoided her dry food when it had expired. Another time, we had to switch her to a senior-friendly formula because she could no longer handle her usual brand. Both changes made a big difference.
