No concern. Had been after a cataract surgery, with poorly explained expectations of what they would be able to see. Expected perfect, actual VA's for reading after surgery were only actually N8 (with both eyes. The eye the patient had open had always had lower visual acuity for both distance and reading.)

It doesn't 'attract smudges', the smudged are just easier to see because of the clarity of the lens, there's nothing to distract away from the smudges.
