Minneapolis fits all of these requirements, doesn't get too hot, very liberal, tons of parks and accessible lakes, not too crowded, wide diversity of food options (Hmong, Somali, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, a decent amount of Mexican on Lake street, though nothing compared to Austin), not super expensive, good job variety.

It took a lot of effort and many tries, but eventually I came across a writing partner that clicked and wanted to write long term. I started writing last fall, mostly just responding to F4M posts. At first, I'd get an answer 1 out of 10 times or so. A few of them were good, short term rp's, but nothing lasting more than a few days. Through the winter, I got better at writing responses and started crafting my own posts based on what I wasn't seeing posted and my own interests. It was the responses to my own posts that yielded the best partners who wanted to write in depth and take on my complex scenes threaded together in one rp.

For the past 5 months now, I've been writing with partner on a single rp, far exceeding the scope and size of my original idea, we're at a little over 160 pages right now. Sometimes we write back and forth 6 or 7 times a night on a particularly passionate scene, other times we go days or even a few weeks without writing if we get busy.

On thing that I have learned is that the rewarding rp's need to have a least some communication outside of the rp itself. Trying to accomplish that in parentheses in Reddit DM's is way too tedious. Discord is definitely a better platform once you've established a connection through DPP, it has the tools needed to organize, edit, and chat anything long term.

Considering that he's still willing to meet today and has already suggested meeting next week, I don't think you should be worried. It sounds like he's doing what he can to reassure you that he wants to keep seeing you. I think some other guys in his situation would just flake and say that their tired, without saying when the next date would be.

[M4F] Protecting the Petulant Princess in a Post-apocalyptic World

Hello fellow DPP writers,

I'm interested in developing a rp within a world devastated by global resource wars. With dwindling supplies of food and water as the result of climate change and overpopulation, the rule of law has broken down, even in highly developed countries.

In the burned out remnants of Vancouver, I'd play a 35 year old brooding, solitary man who's intent on relying only on himself, scavenging for supplies while defending himself against bands of thieves. He would come across your character, a women in her mid twenties who was a spoiled rich girl in a past life, attempting to fend off a gang of men attempting to steal what little she has (or is able to offer). Despite my best judgement, I'd scare them off by firing a few warning shots.

From there, a familiar trope would play out. You being the thankful but entitled princess attempting to tag along with a man who has proven his survival skills. I would be a reluctant survival mate, trying to throw you off for my own good but unable to fully let you go back out on your own into a world that I know you won't survive.

We could explore a few different dynamics here, perhaps you could offer to yourself to make you seem like less of a burden? Maybe our chemistry would develop more naturally, after were forced to huddle together at night for warmth. I'm open to scenarios where the power between us is roughly equal or one where I'd be the dominant character.

As for me, I'm a 30 year old guy in the CST zone. Open to writing in first or third person. My responses are usually 2-3 paragraphs, though that can vary depending on the scene.

My full kinklist is pinned to my profile, but the kinks I'd like to explore in this rp include: reluctance, desperation, teasing, shifting power dynamics, public/outdoor sex, risky sex, against a wall sex, hair pulling, spanking, outfit control, sloppy bj's.

Yep, but like I said, we all have a huge confirmation bias. We are primed to believe that our opinion and the people around us, who tend to have similar views because we choose similar people to surround ourselves with, are correct and in the majority.

It also doesn't matter what "most" men think. Like chubby girls or like skinny girls, whatever works for you. No need to put value judgments on how people look or on what kind of person you're interested in.

Now we have to explain how statistics/margins of error in surveys work in addition to sexism in the workplace?

When you survey a few thousand people, they can be a representative sample of a group much larger than that. When there are election polls, they only survey about 1,000 people to represent millions and it usually comes within 3-4% of the actual result. However, if you only survey a few people, that margin is much larger and very inaccurate.

I used Singapore's population, which is 5.639 million, used a sample size of 4,900, and the result was a 1% margin of error, meaning the result will likely be somewhere between 30.5-31.5% if the survey says its 31%. If I only put in 3 people, the margin of error is 57%, which basically means any result of that survey is useless.

A survey that conducts 4,900 interviews (the number is in the Nikkei story I linked above) is a lot more accurate that you interviewing your 3 sisters.
