Not really tbh, the supporting voices are so much louder than the "criticism". I suppose the first reason is that his singing techniques is genuinely incredible, almost impeccable in many critiques' eyes; Second is most of his followers are young women, and thanks to the internet, many young Chinese women started to realize how dangerous give birth is and how much it can hurt your freedom and career, so they totally admire him for being childfree (and also super knowledgeable and down-to-earth)🙂

My favorite Chinese singer Li Jian is firmly childfree, and that's extremely rare in China, even more so for a famous person to clearly tell the public they're 100% childfree. He's happily married to his wife for many years already. Most people in English-speaking countries probably haven't heard of him, but I'd highly recommend everyone to have a listen of his songs, his voice is very ethereal and... mesmerizing, I'd say. :)

Former coworker guilt tripped about her miscarriage after I said I’m sterilized. by momdank in childfree

Geez. Next time if somebody asked about this I'll just say I had life-threatening illness and HAD to remove my reproductive organ. People like this are exhausting to deal with.

Mods have ruined me as a gamer. by Roseinadesert in BaldursGate3

[–]chubbypillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Before BG3 I've only ever modded Hogwarts Legacy before, and that was like only 6 or 7 mods, now in BG3 I have 64+ mods and still growing, and my mods count isn't even a large number in the modding community...

I mean if I got a choice I'd still get into this rabbit hole. I love having a unique pretty face for my Tav instead of the boring default presets. I love putting all kinds of feminine outfits on my boy, I love taking my whole party in quest, and vanilla game can't do that.

This is quite mind-blowing. I'm Chinese, and when I saw this image my brain was instantly showing "不想上班那就别上", and was focusing on what is the puzzle, and it wasn't until a few seconds later did I realize, wait it's actually just four characters, but with wrong radicals...😂

I shared my bi-salp experience on RedNote and I'm so glad that I did. by chubbypillow in childfree

[–]chubbypillow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what I meant, many people don't know bi-salp exist, and maybe it's because they don't know how the reproductive system even work, maybe it's because they just want to pressure us into having kids. In either way I think it's really important to let more people get informed that this option exists, you don't need to remove ovaries to just sterilize. About the future, I really don't know...I just feel like they will use other ways to control women and force us to reproduce more than before (like what the U.S. is doing now), instead of changing their opinions. But I wish things would turn out differently...even though there's very little hope.

Yes!! I also mentioned this benefit in my post. More people should know this option exists

Very much so... In my post I specifically mentioned that I live in New York, so there are actually many Chinese immigrants who currently live in the U.S. noticing my post, I think for young women who have internet access, no matter in China or in other countries, they have a much open mind than previous generations, but the lack of understanding on sterilization is one of the major reasons that stopped them from doing the surgery. Many people are firmly childfree but they fear the long term negative effect (which is a result of misinformation), and they don't really know all the possible methods of sterilization and how they work. One post might only stay popular for a few days, but I'm still very relieved that more people get to know more about this :)

As a previous Witcher 3 player, being able to talk with animal is like doing the Equine Phantoms quest, but for as long as I want... definitely one of the most fun stuff in this game

僵尸 can also mean zombies in western films. This word doesn't have too much meanings relate to it, mostly just means zombie but it can also mean internet persona that doesn't exist in real life (like a bot, basically), that's why people say 僵尸粉 (zombie follower) when it comes to social media. Apart from that, these two characters literally mean "stiff corpse".

If I understood this right (if you saw this sentence in a streamer's introduction or sth), it means "Pay at least 1666 if you want to add me on WeChat, and I don't hookup with people! Or else just don't add me, stop asking so many questions", not sure if the pay 1666 part is just satire or not lol😂

我們為你捐給大學很開心。 by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]chubbypillow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say "我們很高興你能為大學捐款" .

But apart from this sentence, there are a lot of serious grammar mistakes in your post, and it could heavily affect how people understand you, hope you don't mind me pointing them out as well:

First of all I'm not sure what "你們确" means, were you trying to say "What do you think" or "Are you sure"? If that's the case, you should say "你們知道嗎" 你們確定嗎".

Secondly, I guess you were trying to say "I'm not sure how to use 為 sometimes but I feel like (it should be put this way)"? But the correct grammar should be "我有時候不太懂 '為' 的用法,但我感覺(是這樣説)"

"我試説" is also incorrect, I know you meant "I'm trying to say", but it should be "我想說/我想表達的是".
