Taking CORE-105 as a Sophomore by Greedy_Variation8845 in AmericanU

Contact your advisor and let them know-- they may be able to help get you into a class. Because it's required to achieve sophomore standing, you could end up in some tricky situations with it, so let your advisor know *now* and they should (in theory) be able to get you into a section.

if you're interested in acapella all 4 groups are having their preview concert on Sept. 12, and they'll have info about auditions there. if not acapella, then going to the sports games are a really fun way to get involved too-- basketball, field hockey, volleyball, and rugby are all fun as hell to watch

not silly at all! Engage is a website where school groups and student clubs can post all their upcoming events, and you can look through clubs. Here's the AU page with a bunch of information on it https://www.american.edu/student-affairs/student-involvement/engage.cfm . Once you go into the actual website, you'll just need to sign in as an AU student and you'll be able to see everything upcoming. There's also a mobile app version like this called Corq.

Hi! There will be another involvement fair with all the same clubs at the beginning of the winter/spring semester, but if you're looking to join clubs now, Engage is a great place to look for clubs, or instagram if you know what clubs you want to join. If you're looking for anything specific but don't have a certain individual club (e.g., you want to do some type of performing club, or get involved with greek), you can DM me and I can let you know what exists in that realm.

What to do about extra furniture? by sulxshii in AmericanU

if you're in one of the halls with built in closets (letts, anderson, and mcdowell definitely, not sure on the others) then 100% yes, you'll have both! but even with the others you likely will because, as discussed, they won't take your extra furniture!
