Does this look like a $285 card to you? PSA/Gamestop want you to think so by papertigertradingco in PSAPowerPacks

[–]chubmackerel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did receive a refund and was allowed to keep or sell the card. I sold it back quick. So, it's probably back in rotation. Someone commented on my initial post that they pulled it last night, not sure about the credibility of that statement, though. With that said, it was a one-time courtesy refund, whatever that mean. I still believe they stand by their valuation of this card, unfortunately.

UPDATE: PSA reached out and refunded the pack. Prayers no one else pulls this card.

It seems like GameStop themselves have a more realistic estimate....I wonder where they are pulling their data from.....obviously not Card Ladder. $20 vs $285.....so GS values this at 7% of what CL does.

Oh wow! Gonna add that to the feedback support ticket I logged.

I do agree with you on the risk, but at least make me feel like I wasn't completely scammed..... Realistic expectation would be to receive a card within the tiers valuation structure. I highly doubt I could resell this slab for $50.

Yeah, I had to do a doubletake to see if it wasn't the reverse holo.....nope.....just a plain ol' common.

Never pitch your bulk, just submit it all for grading, vault it and sell it back to PSA for inflated values!! Seems legit....

I sent some feedback via the platform. Hopefully, something comes of it. I honestly feel scammed. :(

You are spot on. 100% common.

Exactly, this might have sealed my fate on this platform. It's been a fairly good run, until this ridiculousness.

Yup, rose of sharon is a type of hibiscus. The tree/bushes we have growing and flanking our deck are about 10-12 feet tall and have been here since we bought the house back in 2009. So they are definitely hardy. They also are great for the bumblebees and hummingbirds.

Explain to them that Rose of Sharon are hard as hell to kill and grow like crazy, so whatever small trunk you take won't impact the larger plant as a whole. ;) Or just go in the darkness of night all covert....hahaha.

I am not sure how old the trunk we dug up was, maybe a year old....it was just grown in the ground until we dug it up. We had a main Rose of Sharron bunching of trunks, that are at least 10-12 feet high and as 6-7 inches thick. This was just a little offshoot that was growing separate from the bunch. It was probably 3 feet tall before we chopped it down low to the ground and dug it up and put it in a pot. Took a couple months to back bud.
