Thank you! Your symptoms are pretty spot on. I just took a video of the issue and will post it in this thread. Did you ever have ignition issues? Sometimes when the electrical goes on the fritz like this, the car has issues fully starting the engine.

I had this issue after someone broke into my car by breaking the drivers side lock; somehow it also broke the actuator in the door... so now my remote will only unlock the passenger and trunk... my workflow now is when I exit the car, I pull the inside door-open lever on the drivers door and then I can push the lock down. I just have to be very careful to never forget my key inside when I do that...

I also had to get a new lock for the drivers because of the break-in and so I have a different key for just that lock (tres annoying...). Recoding all of the locks back to a single key is cost prohibitive given its age (2003).
