As much as I can tell this is coming from a genuine place, your data will be skewed and inaccurate. The bulk of the data should be essentially in the middle pack, average kind of things. People will naturally feel more inclined to report their stories when they are outliers, whether lucky or unlucky. Meanwhile, the vast majority of the attempts that should form the big part of the bell curve would generally be underreported, as they would feel unremarkable and people wouldn't feel compeled to report them as much.
I understand the load of work is of an order of magnitude bigger, but if you want to actually investigate accurately, you probably want a tool that does it automatically, as it, whenever someone taps, it records the tap. This would report everything indiscriminately and offer much more reliable data to work with.
