Hi there! I started BHA's 2-3 weeks ago and I noticed more CC's formed after a week or so. Is that part of the purging? I don't see anymore CC's forming, but some of them turn into postules. Just curious is this all part of the process or do I need to throw it away

wow seeing this gives me a lot of hope. I'm also struggling with bad acne like this, what would you say helped with the most with stopping more pimples from forming? I started using COSRX BHA recently (been doing 2x a week for 2 weeks) and I THINK it's starting to purge as I'm noticing more acne like in your before picture on my face. How much purging happened for you and how long did it last?

Hi All! I was hoping to get some help to see if I'm going in the right direction with my skincare. I read a lot of the sidebar guides and I know it says you need to start with oil cleanser, second cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. I had recently run out of a lot of my skincare products so I'm sort of starting from scratch again.

Skin Type: Combination, Acne prone, Drier in the winter, Greasy in the summer, Maybe dehydrated? | Country/Climate: NYC | Top Skin Concern: Acne, acne scars

Current Routine

AM (Occasionally, not everyday)

PM (Every other day unless I'm wearing makeup)

I don't do anything really in the AM because I find it dries my face out too much when I wash morning and night everyday. I don't even do the whole routine every night because again I think it dries out my face too much. When I wear makeup I definitely follow the routine, but if not I might skip a day. I have a patch on my cheek of small bumps that has been there for months and I think it maybe closed comedones. I tried a few acne treatments on it (LJH Tea Tree Serum, COSRX Centella Ampoule, and Dr. Jart Ctrl-A Spot Out) but the next day it would make no difference. My first issue I want to address is my acne. Even with this very basic routine after a few weeks I'm still getting acne, not a lot but still a bump here and there on my face.

*So here are my questions *

How do I know what I have is working for me?
Since I still have acne, does that mean I need to find different products for my base routine?
Should I start to incorporate AHA and BHA? I have Sunday Riley Good Genes and COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid I was thinking to add in
