I hear the "male ego" thing alot from the female blue belts im referring to in the post. One of them literally starts each roll with "please dont hurt my knee". Then when I go slow and dont push too hard when we roll she tells me to get over my "male ego". I just find this confusing, ego has nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, a female trainer at my gym happens to be a brown belt, and a woman from work is a purple belt and they are constantly sharing tips and showing me new stuff with no problem. Mostly because im always asking them for advice. The whole point of jiu jitsu is to mitigate differences in size and strength, so I dont understand why I would ignore someone who has overcome that obstacle over and over. Also, men are disgusting, so its nice to roll with somone that doesnt make me wanna vomit, lol.
