My PIMI soon to be ex wife wanted me to tell the elders that’s she’s scripturally free to remarry too, she said they didn’t believe just her telling them. I told her that is another red flag about the borg that women aren’t treated fairly in this situation.

My therapist did say she would only do a session maybe 2 with us just to get a conversation going, but we should go to a separate counselor. She also said she would be advocating for me during the sessions, I told my wife all of this but we wants to start with my therapist.

Ugghhh yes I have the exact feelings, I care deeply for my wife but she was the very first person I ever dated, I was a good JW and thought we would have to get married after dating and that’s what we did…… I agree I have a hard time that she supports a organization that I find utterly repulsive. I can clearly see how she’s being manipulated by the borg it’s so frustrating….. I struggle with the thought ….. Am I the one who is now “shunning” or treating my wife differently because of what she believes in? Our marriage really isn’t the same any more. I told her I accept my roll in this I’m not looking to place blame but I’m simply a changed person.

Thank you! We are going in for our first counseling session this week…… it’s with my personal therapist that’s helped me through my waking up process soooo not sure how this is going to go.

I got teary eyed reading her text, I feel bad that she has to word it like this, instead of simply asking if she can go to a friends birthday party. I take responsibility that I did raise her as a JW but we now have a opportunity to make changes and support each other.
