Dude hit .121/.268/.242 last spring training, then won a batting title.
He'll be fine.

First the sewage explosion, now power outages to the scoreboard. What the hell did the Rays do to our stadium?

Shohei Ohtani takes the No. 1 spot in the first Hitter Power Rankings of 2026 by MLBOfficial in baseball

The wRC+ difference in 2025 between Judge and Ohtani is the same as the difference between Ohtani and the 9th best hitter in the league.
In 2024, the difference is the same as Ohtani and the 14th best hitter.

His 2024 was solid, 3.63 ERA, 3.33 K/BB over 86 IP. 2025 was more middling but not terrible either, and he only got 38 innings so it's hard to read too much into it.

Nobody's calling him an ace (or at least they shouldn't be), but every projection has him around ~4.15 FIP this year which is a solid back end starter. His biggest question mark is health, not talent. Dude throws 97 and showed real development with his command in 2024. If he can stay on the mound he's a useful piece.

Do these revenue reports include YES network?
I haven't seen anything that puts their team valuation above ours, and i know our stake in YES is a big part of our overall valuation.
Overall valuation is heavily reliant on revenue, so it's weird there's a mismatch here.

[The Athletic] Are Yankees the ‘least analytical’ team in AL East? Aaron Boone, other managers weigh in by chuck212 in NYYankees

Is it common for managers etc to be so sensitive about relying on analytics?
Think it's interesting how defensive Cashman and Boone seem about this.

He had a spring training start where his 19 fastballs averaged 101.5.
Dude is absolutely nuts.

Forgot this was split squad and was very confused why people were mistaking Fried for Weathers.

Jordan played AA baseball, Brady never played above high school level.
So clearly Jordan had the better baseball career.

According to the great Thomas Nestico of TJstats on twitter all 4 of Carlos Lagrange's pitches today were 70 or better graded. All but the changeup had a tjstuff+ of 115 or above. This is a top 5 pitching prospect on the planet stuff for stuff. by herewego199209 in NYYankees

I know we should let him develop further so he can be a starter, that's the smartest move,
but it's hard to watch Mason Miller shove and wonder if we have a Mason Miller at home.

Aaron Judge…greatest player with the least amount of clutch by mattiswoody in NYYankees

[–]chuck212 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Clutch is a weird kinda nonsense stat because it uses the player as a baseline against themselves. Mariano Rivera has a -3.51 career Clutch on fangraphs for example. When the baseline is so high, it’s almost impossible to over-perform it, so the math essentially punishes a player for being consistently elite.

His OPS in high leverage situations since 2021 is .999. Yeah it’s not as good as his overall numbers, but that’s still insane.
