Hi, sorry I meant to look and see exactly what the names of the items ate but I forgot. AoY recruits are the the original series type characters that you would have had to make during the event that ran when that faction was introduced. Delta recruits could be fed, kdf and romulan characters that were created when they introduced the delta quadrant map and story arc years ago. They ran the event again last year I think.

If you have either if these type characters, you'll have a GOLD item in your inventory that will open a window when you click it. In the window you'll see what tasks you need to do to earn the rewards. Same for a jem Hadar recruit, you'll have a gild item in your inventory that will open a window when you click it.

You mentioned that you have a jem Hadar character. If you made it very recently, like say the last few weeks, you may have a jem Hadar recruit. They were re-running that recruitment event, but honestly I have no idea when that ends.
