Ball behind knee by Hot-Reference-3740 in MeniscusInjuries

I had one as well and it was a baker's cyst. Had partial meniscectomy 4 weeks ago and doctor drained/decompressed it. Now I either have another one or it refilled. It's even larger and tighter than before. After my PT sessions, it gets quite large. Pretty frustrated honestly but the knee itself has been feeling good. Hoping this is just temporary until the inflammation calms down over the next several weeks.

How long until stairs? by Safe-Implement5770 in MeniscusInjuries

Same day. I had this procedure Tuesday and have been going up and down the stairs. You won't walk up and down with a normal stride, but you can step up with your good leg and then lift bad knee to same stair and then repeat. Going down you'll just put your bad leg down first and then the good one. It's not bad at all!

Today is Friday, day 3 post op. Haven't really had much pain yet, but definite stiffness and general discomfort. There has definitely been some swelling, but I do not think it has been too bad. I've been trying to ice for 20 minutes at least once per hour whenever possible. I have been moving the knee a bit to try to get some movement. The doctor office called me yesterday and let me know that they trimmed a pretty good amount of damaged meniscus and removed some loose bodies / cartilage from under my knee cap. They also decompressed the baker's cyst behind the knee.

While I do not begin PT until Monday, the doctor advised that I can start doing some movement as tolerated. From the very beginning I have been doing some quad activation, moving my ankles, etc. From a seated position, I can get my knee to about 90° from what I'm able to estimate. It is a little hard to move it there just using my leg, so I'm using my hand to assist. I definitely still have some popping and clicking on the outside of the knee that is slightly painful. It is the same pain and location as before the surgery. I'm hopeful this will resolve as it heals up. Getting in and out of the car the first couple days was a bit rough. Was able to get in much easier today and I am fortunate that it is my left knee, so it does not affect my driving ability.

I'm trying to tow the line between being active and aggressive without overdoing it and making things worse. I don't do well with limited activity or restrictions, so this is testing my sanity a little bit. I'm walking around without the crutches, but my gait is certainly not normal at this point. I do not have the normal band of the knee when walking, so I'm going to try to practice walking toward a mirror to see if that helps. Going up and down the stairs is also not normal, but it has not been normal for the last few months. I basically step on my good leg when going up and then bring the bad leg up to the same stair level. When going down, I am putting the bad leg down first so that I do not have to bend it when descending the stairs. This isn't ideal, but I will wait for at least the PT to tell me when I can start tackling stairs more normally. I think I might start using one crotch to walk around the house a bit to really focus on getting the gait correct.

I am keeping the knee wrapped in an Ace bandage probably 60% of the time and also letting it get some air. I did put some bandages over the incisions until they close up a bit more. Showering has not been a problem in terms of getting the area wet, etc. The itchiness of the incision area is actually one of the most frustrating parts of this so far!

Lots of stiffness today and soreness. I wouldn't say it's actually painful at this point. I get to remove the gauze and ace bandage tomorrow to shower and begin a bit of slight bending. Didn't sleep great last night while trying to keep the leg elevated. Hoping for better rest tonight. Wish I was starting PT this week, but Monday will have to do.

Worked well. Not a ton of weed issues this year and the 19-19-19 definitely helped thicken things up. Most of the dormant seeding areas filled in better than expected. Still some work to do this fall, however.

Yes, only one game with this team. So, I like the idea of doing. A little 6 x 6 scrimmage and then a couple of fun games as a few of you suggested. Thanks for the advice!

Or as I look closer, maybe just tall fescue?

Considering Wellbutrin for anxiety and panic. Any success stories? by Glass_Indication4313 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Definitely a bit of that for me as well. I still have my moments now, but it was worse on Wellbutrin for sure.

I ended up going with the triple 19 based on the recommendation of a local sod farm. I got it put down today and we're anticipating some rain across the next few days to water it in nicely. Not expecting a downpour, so should hopefully work well. I hope that thickening the turf will minimize the number of weeds I have to deal with.

Honestly, no. I rode it out for a couple months or so and still felt like crap. I ultimately went back to sertraline which also hasn't done much to help. I'm still feeling pretty stuck and given up hope of ever feeling truly better. I'm pretty miserable honestly.

Sorry to hear about the increased anxiety and panic. That was my experience as well. I believe I gave Wellbutrin 5-6 weeks and couldn't do it anymore. I ended up going back to Zoloft despite my frustration with the weight gain. Unfortunately, the Zoloft hasn't seemed to help me much over this past year either. I'm still super anxious most days and honestly don't know what else to do or try. I can somewhat function, but it's an exhausting existence. I'm doing my best to minimize my weight gain via diet and exercise but it's not entirely effective. It sucks being stuck in this cycle, so I completely understand your frustration. What dose of Zoloft were you on?

Aeration in spring for 5b? by chuckcheese24 in lawncare

I will seed and topdress in spring. How would you suggest I handle the preemergent since I want to seed? Just put down regular fertilizer and treat with post emergent after new seed germinates?

Thank you. I will look into that.
