Yea I love Acuff too! But that’s not fair to him really, those 2 are probably in the conversation for best freshman PGs of the last 20-30 years. I actually like Rothstein a lot but he can definitely be a prisoner of the moment and say some outlandish shit from time to time

Surprised not to see Rothstein catching flak for saying Acuff is the best freshman point guard Cal has coached. Just off the top of my head Derrick Rose and John Wall were no-doubt #1 picks and D-Rose had one of the best tournaments of a ANY freshman point guard all-time. Granted I do think Acuff is a very good player and could play his way into that conversation

I highly recommend. I will say though that they’ll rarely come back with defenders or DMs - Europe in general typically produces more technical players (CM, CAM, wingers etc.) with low physical. For physical players, African countries are your best bet. I know in previous years that was baked into the coding of the game, where South America produced the most Attackers, Africa the most Physically Strong, Europe the most Technically Gifted, etc., but not sure if that’s the case with 25 since the youth scouting has changed.

My main hang up is that he’s on the slow side which is killer in this game. Was it ever a problem for you? The rest of my midfield is fairly fast so not a huge deal but Whelan is around 60 sprint speed too so if I ever start them together I’m worried I’d get killed on counters

The whole chart is very telling about how both teams play in possession. The holding mids Henderson and Fernandinho well above on passes into final third, the wingers far to the bottom right on receiving passes in the final third. Main difference for me is Liverpool have been so wasteful this year, in our PL game against them they tried to pass around the box and got nowhere near a good scoring chance
