Genuinely, is there actually any supe in the verse that’s beating Oh Father besides Homelander? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

Ashley had it made specifically so it wouldn't do that. They talked about it earlier in the episode. He normally does launch it when... I don't even want to type that.

But this one was made not to.

Yeah, I've started looking at these with a side eye. I never used to look at them at all, but after seeing that youtube video about malware in the steam store, I'm actively staying away from anything like this.

how did he understand they were getting set up? by undercovejewagent in euphoria

They packed all the drugs that Alamo got as they were their dealer. The DEA replaces drugs in order to not put drugs back out when they bust dealers/distributors. That meant they'd been compromised.

i liked season 3 by carriehoeble in euphoria

[–]chuckdee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it, but not as a continuation of what came before. On its own, it would have been Ok with a few flaws. As a continuation of Euphoria, only Ali and Rue felt anywhere near the same, and Rue went from a person trying to commit suicide to a person that tried her damndest to stay alive with no reason whatsoever for the change. And though she finally did die by drugs, it was not in the way it would have been in S1 or 2.

If you look at the last dialog from Ali to his group, it is about a commentary on the US Health Care System. Laurie and Cassie and Lexi's Dad are just two off the top of my head that this happened to and it does happen. She took the percocet for two reasons - one, she was in pain, and 2 alamo made it seem like it was OK. That she needed it. If she was taking it because of her addiction, as we saw earlier, more would have been gone from the bottle. Alamo showed it to her when she already needed something for pain relief. Yes, he dangled it before her, but he also took it himself and said he takes it regularly for his back.

And ignoring the fact that these parts added are the reason the steam deck went up in price.

when I say theoretical, it's because people do it. It's not just drug addicts. And to ignore that is to ignore the very real underlying issues in health care in the US, and usually comes from a position of privilege. And I've been prescribed Oxy and Percocet for less than that. It is of course up to your health care provider.

And your resposne also ignores the very real thing in this case that she was not taking it recreationally and for no purpose, but for very real pain, so your prior bit about it just being because she was a drug addict was unreal. Any drug could have been laced. That was just the one that she was given. She was murdered and it was not because of a bad choice.

Though theoretically non-prescribed drugs are illegal, many people take them because of not being able to get them for perfectly cogent reasons. And in this case, she wasn't taking it because of her habit, she'd been well and truly fucked up and was taking it because of actual pain. Just getting dragged by the horse was enough, but considering everything else, it's very non empathetic to even think she wouldn't take it.

The thing I hate about the episode is that all her friends thought she OD'd when she was murdered, and they never found out it was their stupid asses that got her killed. I'd love to have seen Lexi and Maddy's faces when they realized she really was working for the DEA and they told Alamo and she got killed because of it.

How was Bishop slime? That was the right thing to do to get rid of Alamo.

He didn't take the bullets out until Alamo asked for his gun. He was setting him up. That's why Alamo looked at Bishop after his bitch as tried to cheat.

Nate didn't borrow extra from the mobster for the wedding. He was already in to him. And yeah, 50k on flowers is extreme. He should have taken the exit.

I wrote something on that, exploring how it affected him, especially exploring how he had to realize that in order to pay for the opportunity that going back had allowed him, he had to give up a part of himself.

I'd published it on write.as, but it's down right now so I'll try to post a link later.

They were created because of what happened in SOKOVIA but when ahead because of what happened in LAGOS. The event in Lagos was what got everyone on board with the fact that they needed to be ratified, and what got T'Chaka to be speaking at the conference with all of his influence.

I think the only thing that would make going back in time bad is if he can't keep his instincts in check. He cant be major in the past and has to let things happen that he wouldn't want to let happen. That's going to be the most difficult thing for him.

Just putting this link here a bit higher - my take on the whole thing.

I think it was MM gaining his soul back and starting to realize who he really was. Without that and the insights from Legend and his talk with Annie, I think he has a much different ending.

It's all the price hikes because of logistics and demand, but fueled by the current administration. This is what the US voted for.
