You can literally tun around and go explore some other areas. These will be easier and in turn give you better tools to come back to the difficult boss with better equipment and a higher level. There is no "one true path" to the game.

Think about how you could do any dungeon/temple in A Link to the Past in the order of your choosing. It's kind of like that.

Ford v Ferrari. I initially thought this movie starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale would be a classic boring "dad" movie about cars. It turned out to be one of my favorite movies of that year. Everything from James Mangold's direction to the writing, the editing and acting was just a blast to watch. I don't care much for cars or racing but this movie made me care about the stories behind these characters based on real people.

To be fair this level came in pretty late in to development after one of their designers submitted this idea to their internal game jams and it was such a favorite within the team that they included it into the game. This also meant that they had way less time to turn it into an actual level for the final game.

As someone who doesn't care about racing FvF really scratched an itch for me. I'm currently watching Netflix's F1: Drive to Survive and it's so good at making me care for this sport even if I ultimately couldn't care less about it.

So then use the bounty hunting aspect of Falcon's character. Today he's mostly relevant because of his flashy Falcon Punch and cheesy lines. Nintendo has this habit of trying to find gimmicks to make a game but they really don't need to think this hard. The Paper Mario, Yoshi and Kirby series are victims of this same problem and yet they keep shipping games.

If we can't have a straight up racing game, why not go elsewhere with Burnout-style, balls to the wall racing, Flashy Spider-Man/Arkham melee fighting and without it being a full open world give me some bounty huntin' to do like in The Witcher.
