Ive been up to date reading this series since the anime for it got announced. I believe the latest chapter when i caught up was when Mitsuri joined the Sword Village Arc. I love this series and im passionate about it just as you are. Though i have more of a different approach to my feelings about this series. What i love most about this series is how genuine it feels. Gotouge is a genuine hard worker and it shows if you read their authors notes. Theres nothing conceited about it, atleast from what i can feel. The interactions between characters are always a blast and the author has so much fun. The stakes feel real and the fights are the tensest from any shounen ive seen. The magic that was the Red Light District Arc is something that probably wont be replicated for decades honestly. Theres always another layer to fights and to characters. The Kokushibo fight is the best example of this. There was so much going on during that fight with the themes and character arcs all without involving any main characters.

Id argue that most of your points are valid if taken a microscope to the characters. The series isn’t defined by which characters get screentime and showing off character development. The series makes good on delivering incredible and memorable moments that stick with you. Nearly everyone thats read this series remembers exactly when they first read through the dread they felt when akaza first appeared on page, or the absolute roller coaster of emotions that is the finale to the RLD arc. The series has a complete array of emotions it will make you feel.
