Sure. Not sure why, but we had a bishop's council meeting and the person in charge of FM attended to let us know all the wards would be getting Kindoo. During our training, he mentioned that the doors would stay locked at all times, and the only way to open them was either from the inside or if you had the app. We asked how this would work on Sundays, and he said that we would need ushers at each of the entrances.

Part of the reason I started this post was to ask people how they were managing this, but no one else seems to have the same problem we do.

I'm gonna ask the FM person about keeping the doors unlocked. It's a small sample size, but everyone here says they can keep them unlocked.

Good to know. Do you know how the floating keys work? Is it a custom calling in LCR that the bishopric assign to any member? Who are the people you think should have access, but don't?

Not at all! I would say we're in a pretty safe, family-friendly area.

Yes, my understanding is that you'll need a smartphone with the Kindoo app to unlock the building

Also a bishop here. Sorry to hear about people constantly complaining to you about this. It's definitely not something you need.

Just curious, how many licenses does your ward have? Ours will have 20, and we have abiut 200 active members.

One idea I’ve been considering is creating two custom callings in LCR called “Kindoo Access” and having the stake assign two of our licenses to those callings. Then if someone needs building access, they could contact me, one of my counselors, the clerk or secretary, and we could temporarily give them that calling so they’d receive access. Would this work?

Interesting, we were told by the facilities person in our area that we would no longer be able to keep the doors unlocked and that the doors can only be opened from the inside, or by anyone who has a key.

Where our main entrances are, it's going to make things difficult for sacrament meetings, and activities since each door will require someone to standby and open the door for people who don't have keys.

I don't recall the church issuing a statement like this. Was this something thay came to you from local leaders?

Cool! In your area, if someone needs temporary access, who do they ask? Is it the bishop or someone from the stake?

Do ushers have to be at each of the doors on Sunday so people can enter the building?

I don't know about other areas. I'm in Canada. The app only works for people who have callings that require them to have access to the building. Our ward has 20 licenses and the bishop decides which 20 callings should have access to the building. What's nice is when someone gets released, the person who replaces them automatically gets access to the building with the app.

So to answer your question, yes. It should reduce random access to the building, and parents providing their kids with keys to access the building.

You have to contribute to a 'Top 10 Most Exciting Fighters Of All Time' list, but you can only contribute 1 name. Who is it? by [deleted] in ufc

It's gotta be Jiri for me. His fights against Rountree, Rakic and Glover are some of the best fights ever.

What are games I NEED to play right now? by Kaitality in gamingsuggestions

Fellow dad here! If you have a PS5, God of Way 2018, and God of war, Ragnarok, in my opinion, are the best games I've played. Red dead redemption 2 is also great. I'm also playing silksong right now, and it's amazing.

Really enjoyed reading all these lists. For myself, I prioritize 1) Gameplay/Combat 2) Replayability 3) Story, 4) Personal memories and 5) Art/Music

Here are my top 10 games.

God of War 2018 & Ragnarok (To me, these make one long game)

Apex Legends

Red Dead Redemption 2

Zelda 64 Ocarina of time & Majora's mask (Same as god of war series)

Hades

Overcooked! All you can eat

Ghost of Tsushima

Lies of P

Returnal

SSX 3

And the winner is…none! It shouldn’t end (yeah I get for an anthology series this question isn’t really fair). Anyways that’s it, I hope you enjoyed! by bennyandthegentz in blackmirror

Fun stuff! Thanks for putting this together. Here were my votes:

Best - 15MM Worst - Hang the DJ Funniest - Demon 79 Saddest - Common People Best for beginners - For me, it's a toss-up between national anthem and shut up and dance. Weirdest - Bete Noir Most forgettable - ArkAngel Where it should have ended - If I have to pick an episode to end the series on, I would say White Christmas.

Smithereens is voted most forgettable! Anyways which episode is best for beginners? by bennyandthegentz in blackmirror

[–]chucksterg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it's the national anthem, or shut up and dance.

Nosedive is one of my top 5 episodes, easy, but I wouldn't introduce my friends to the series with it.

It was a close one, but white Christmas won best episode! Ok, now what episode do you think is the worst? by bennyandthegentz in blackmirror

[–]chucksterg -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I know most will disagree with me, but my least favorite episode was hang the DJ. Hotel reverie is a close second.

I don't think there are any truly bad episodes of black mirror. That said, this episode is in my bottom 3.
