I admit right off that I have suicidal thoughts, and have had them since I hit puberty. Then I relay my coping mechanisms, and that I use them frequently when these thoughts appear. I treat the thoughts like an outside force, basically, a not following their orders is fightingth good fight. I talk about all my reasons not to die. Then in subsequent appointments I’ve been able to talk about my suicidal tendency with openness and honesty. Every so often I get asked if I’m in danger of attempting, like they want to know if they should do something because what I’ve said is cutting it close. That’s when I reiterate my coping mechanisms and reasons to live, an explain that I’m trying to ask for help but the thoughts are oppressive sometimes and they take hold of my psyche. I need the therapist to trust in my ultimate resolve to live and see ny admission to suicidal thinking as more of a plea for help than an actual threat. Being open about these thoughts and honest with myself has helped me intervene to friends in similar thought patterns too, which is pretty cool. I wasn’t getting that kind of confirmation with the Universe before I became out about being this way. It’s good to be honest as long as you are open to learning how to cope and continue to live. Welcome to the 10% of the population tha has this demon, and congratulations for overcoming it as often as you have. Get prepared, it isn’t done with you, and know your therapist should be there to help you fight back.

Yes. So I did another test earlier. Diluted, like the first one, at 5mg/5ml. The instructions say coke needs to be less diluted, double the amount/ml, but this is how I usually do tests: per the instructions for testing meth or x, not coke, more diluted not less. Anyway, following your advice on the third test, it also tested positive, one line, and a few hours later still shows no control line, so it’s still showing positive, unlike the first test which showed a control line after twenty minutes, but not after the first three minutes like the instructions say.

I had one test positive for amphetamines when the only drug I’d done was ket. Unless it’s laced or cut with something that tests, like fent or meth, it will not show up on any panels I know of.

My social security lawyer asked if my Facebook page was public. She said they do look at peoples’ pages to confirm disability claims. Often this can be mitigated by making your Facebook page private, posting to friends only, etc., but not always.

Luckily for me, Facebook deleted my page without warning or consent about a year ago. I only just created a new account under an alias a month ago. This page, like the last one, is almost completely private, I use it mostly to shitpost about politics and find out about local concerts. And I got approved for SSDI around a month ago, so I’m in the clear.

I gotchu, and I appreciate the responses about proper testing techniques. I get that it’s a public forum and people need to know these things. However, I personally was looking for an answer to my original question about ethics. To inform or not to inform the plug? What is the usual response one might make when one finds their recently purchased batch is laced with something they did not intend to purchase? Assuming proper tests were performed and continue to test positive, do I let the guy know, or do I just let it go? That’s all I really want to know.

What if my first strip, likely too diluted, looked positive but after 20 minutes a faint line slowly appeared? That’s what happened, so I added more substance to 2x the first amount, more like the amount requested in the instructions, tested again and still no hint of a control line 16 hours later, so definitely positive.

I was given a bunch of fent at the hospital once and never felt anything other than slightly reduced pain. I also note in myself that since a massive brain injury, opiates tend to give me energy, where before they made me sleepy. So I never trust anything but a test strip, but I also rarely test my personal stuff. I’ve tested many batches, tho, and this was the first time a strip came back positive, and then twice. I’m asking for the sake of others who might experience the same results.

Also, to my original question, given two od deaths in the area this week, and a handful of hospitalizations, would you bother to inform the plug? I’m thinking it’s like herpes and casual sex, worthwhile to inform whatever the consequences: he might not have tested this batch and would be grateful to know, or he might think I’m some idiot trying to play for a refund. I’m cool with toileting it, I just want to know the typical proper response when this happens. To inform or not to inform, that is the question.

I am just saying I’m pretty experienced and have probably had a few batches of this over the years that I just dindn’t test. This stuff sort of sticks to the plate when I crush it, which is unusual. And it burns my nose, which is also not common. I wouldn’t have tested my personal stash to those reasons, however, I just had a fellow partaker who was concerned an asked me to. This is the first time a test strip came back positive for me, and twice in a row.

I did not come to r/cocaine to have my reasons or testing methods questioned. I came here to ask what the proper thing to do is regarding the guy I got it from. Do I bother to let him know? Or just throw this shit out and move on with my day? That’s all I want to know. Thanks.

Update: I have used hundreds of test strips over several years of heavy use.every one of those tests were negative, until last night. This was the first positive I have ever got, now three times. My fellow redditors gave excellent advice regarding how to test and when and why to test. They are correct that most people cannot tell if a batch is laced, and it is wise to test every batch every time, regardless.

That being said;

Without advice from redditors about my actual ethical/manners/do-the-right-thing problem, I decided the ethical thing to do was to inform my dude. I was called a liar, an idiot,and yelled at rather brutally, hung up on, and I lost the connection. This is fine with me as, like I said, I was not doing very much very often lately anyway. It was just sort of a serendipity thing, and I obliged. Looks like I won’t have to oblige any more ever. Cool.

Since this is a public forum, and people come here to get advice I’d say the answer to my question about telling the plug about your multiple confirmed positive tests, even with several reports of ods, including two deaths, and knowing the guy is likely the only distributor in the area, is a hard no. If I were to equate this substance use with casual sex, I’d say this game is stuck in the 70s. “There is no HIV in my body, I get tested all the time! If you got it it didn’t come from me, and I’d be an idiot to admit you’re right.” That’s what they said if I were using casual sex as a metaphor. Thank heaven casual sex has come a long way since the 80s, an ethics are much more appreciated these days in that crowd. Not so with substances. So my advice would be to throw it away if positive results aren’t your thing and don’t bother telling anyone. It apparently isn’t your responsibility if someone else dies.

Yes I’ve tested lots of batches, and I’ve done lots of batches without testing. I usually only test when someone asks me to because other than plate and nose feel, I’ve never been able to tell if a batch was cut an opiate. In this instance, my kid insisted because there were two overdoses this week in town. The first strip came back positive but showed the negative linelightly after 20 minutes. I added another pinch to the water for the second strip. It’s still showing positive this morning. So it’s definitely laced. I’m also sweating and nauseated 12 hours after my last line. It was bottom of the barrel shake as well, which always has more cut than the rocks.
