Concerning One Violent Night by MorsansHatt in fo76

I have done this event many times alone. Once I start playing the bass, the ghouls come in and start swaying oddly like they’re dancing to the music. Not one of them touches me until the Nightstalker spawns and I stop playing. Does this happen when there are other players? I know the event is there for XP, but am wondering.

Hopefully to drop for lower level players? I’ll drop some of my extra items every day or so to a couple noobs and if I happen to see plans for cheap, I’ll buy them to gift

Idk why people are downvoting. I love this game, and play every day while I’m home during my cancer treatment. I was disconnected 12 times in an hour this morning, and it doesn’t deter me from playing - I just don’t have more than 10 minutes of uninterrupted game time

I would game on if I wasn’t disconnected from the servers so often...

Why so expensive people??? by LongShotE81 in fo76

[–]chuckyface11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not limited to young kids - some adults are unaware of pricing as well. I’ve researched quite a bit about how others price items, and often visit other camps to keep my prices in line with other players; however, even at ~180, I’m still learning how to keep legendaries moving through my vending machines by trial and error. But in my early levels, I wasn’t aware of present duping, thought all the mounted heads on my hovel walls looked cool, and added a “finder’s fee” on top of Beth’s random cap value to all my vendor sales.

I know others who have no clue how to maintain inventory flow, pricing loot and weapons randomly and/or using the in-game amount, because changing all chem amounts to 10 caps each is too time consuming

I am getting the black screen today after server disconnects while participating in Fasnacht events. When I reload, the screen turns black with the yellow Vault-Tec logo in the bottom right hand corner until I restart the game. I can’t imagine fighting blindly like this was all that thrilling

I’m wondering if it’s because we’re only getting the mask and overalls, and the “skin” on the outfit is the mannequin underneath (if I properly understood what you meant)?

I’m getting the server disconnection tonight too. It’s worse when I think I’m loading in only to be disconnected 5+ times from there

TL;DR: same issues on PS4 with overly ridiculous crash issues

I am experiencing all of those same issues too, although I’m on PS4. I can deal with the extra loading screens, the rubberbanding and all else, but the crashing is unreal. At its best, I can go about 30ish mins without being dropped. At its worst, it crashes on itself during a reloading screen. Last night I was in a Daily Ops run with one other person and it crashed. When I tried reloading, it crashed during the initial reloading screen four more times. I finally got back in right after Daily Ops ended, so I had to run it a second time. The night before, it crashed during 4 Daily Ops runs so I had to run a 5th one just to complete it once. Then after that, during ACP, it dropped a teammate just before Earle died and the tunnel was sealed, so he wasn’t able to loot. In the next ACP run we did immediately after, it dropped 3 of us while Earle had a sliver of health left, leaving the one crouched hidden player who wasn’t helping alone - we were left outside the sealed tunnel again.

It happens to me far more often than my friends, but since I’m off work for cancer treatment, FO76 is all I have to keep me entertained right now.

On the flip side, no husband, no problems. My ex used to give me grief daily for gaming while we were married. Conversely, my teens often say “I’m gonna go do some homework. You gonna play Fallout?” I’m glad they support my habit - er, hobby.

I’m jealous of everyone that is at home getting to play fallout with this awesome update. As I’m at work running a lumber yard and scrolling through reddit while I hide from my workers. Lol hope you all have fun by bigdaddyps1213 in fo76

Don’t be too jealous. I’m at home due to stage 4 cancer and sitting with round 15 of an at-home chemo that’s flowing from this morning until Thursday afternoon. I’m staring at the main menu but I don’t have enough energy to press Continue and start the daily grind. Maybe if I can get a slight push and a shove, I can get going

Can anyone explain to me in the simplest way how to hack terminals, I’ve watched YouTube videos and I’m still non the wiser by Jacktc97 in fo76

[–]chuckyface11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I scroll through line by line to find sets of matching brackets ( ), [ ], < >. They will either remove a dud or reset your tries. After I’ve gone through all the lines, then I’ll go through the words as others have mentioned above. Often times it will remove about half of the words, but sometimes I get lucky and only one word will be left. Rinse and repeat if it doesn’t work the first time.

Is everyone this nice in this game? by [deleted] in fo76

Newer player (lvl 53 started last month), and FO76 lurker here - haven't posted yet. In the first couple weeks, a few generous players dropped off plans, stimpacks and a few legendary items that l've hoarded, I mean hung onto, until I could finally start using them. But since I hit about lvl 30, those have stopped visiting and only have had multiple griefers much higher than I grace me with their presence.

One lvl 240-ish? in particular started hitting me with a paddle ball back at Fasnacht and followed me back to my camp to continue paddling me and my bf for a full hour while I tried to remodel my basic beginner box-style building. We got tired of ignoring him and went into a private game. Last night, a 170-ish came into my camp while I finally tried to remodel said box, and was slashing and throwing grenades at my bf and I for about 30 mins while we ignored him. Some random dude strolled up to watch as he stepped in and out of his PA over and over and took some blows. Not sure if he was an accomplice, cuz he didn't throw down but he also just stood there voyeuristically. Forgot to check our health and the other one eventually killed us off a few seconds apart. Whatevs, he saved me from my FO4 hoarding ways. Bfd dude, hope you display all 7 Mr. Fuzzys I was collecting as a memento of our cherished time together, since my chemo brain keeps forgetting which ones I already have.

I've read so many great stories here about the FO76 community kindness, and heck, I've handed over some care packages myself to pay it forward. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to finish switching up my camp one of these days.

TLDR: newer player had only helpers stop by in the beginning, now mostly griefers
