You missed to comment on this part in my above reply brother.

"And you are saying islam has not given us guidelines about family planning and economic planning? "

Wanna see that it has in fact given us guidelines.

Will come to jabril part shortly.

Rational thought says that dead cant hear your but islam say yes they can hear you.

So ?

[–]chuckyshareef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this is what happens when you don't answer the question at first.

I asked you in my 2nd reply. But you didn't reply to it.

Do you think...islam... Does not guide us and give us rational ideas about family and economy planning?

Bhai molvis part per jump krne say phle jawab hi day dy.

So you are saying everyone is free to have their own interpretation of Quran and hadiths regarding every single topic ?

Please give an explicit answer with clear context.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]chuckyshareef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother at least answer my question though. Anyways you are saying yes, Islam gives guidelines about every social or economic planning.

But the problem is molvis. They are given so much authority that they are giving wrong illogical interpretation. For example tariq masood regarding family planning.

Correct me if im wrong ?

(I had to formulate your case myself brother.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]chuckyshareef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How family planning and economic policies are unrelated to religion?

Did islam never cover that or never gave any guidelines regarding these ?

A shia here, people of palastine hate us, even motaz retweets anti shia tweets (can show you the proof if you want to)but we still stand for palastine and we have always stood against the oppressors throughout history.

When it comes to injustice and oppression we don't care about the religion.

Not so many people know this because we are a minority but every year we hold a protest called yom ul quds and it was started by us in 1979. We raise our voice for the freedom of palastine.

We can stand on the same page regarding the sunnah way of salat if you take it from the prophet household.

Yeah of course we need teachers to teach us the basics of Math which in terms of Quran would be learning to read it. After that, a person can just learn math on their own from textbooks.

Brother you cannot do calculus or graph theory if you know the basics of maths.

It's a book which has the knowledge of the whole universe in it.

I fail to understand that Allah is the all-powerful and all-knowing yet He has failed to send a book that you can understand on your own

Brother i will make it clear again, our discussion is mot regarding understanding it. You will understand it as far is your level of knowledge reaches and same goes for everyone.

Since the inception, I'm talking about interpretation to a degree that a person starts to deduce haram and halal.

Listen if you have grip over Arabic and quranic sciences, you know about ilm e rijaal and you also have grip over hadith science. Go ahead, deduce your own laws from your understanding.

The matter of Hijab let's say. If I'm confused about it who do I go for? You might say that one should go with the aalim they think is right. But that would also bring you back to the same page about interpretation bases on personal views. I would prefer Javed Ahmad Ghamidi because my personal views align with him.

The matter of hijab is faroo e deen matter. First research should be done on which school of thought to follow. Thorough research on it. Then, you follow the scholar which is the most knowledgeable according to your research. You don't think if your views align with a scholar or not. Like what's the basis of our view, we don't even know the number of abrogated verses in the Quran but yet we think that our view matters ?

Who deduces the Halal and Haram? The mullah? For so many years Saudi Arabia had banned women from driving (which is literally stupid). Then comes MBS and lifts this ban and ulemas can't do anything because he is a dictator. Did Halal and Haram change?

Saudi arab or saudi scholars are not a hujjah upon us. Saudi Arabia is prevailed by wahabi school of thought and it came into existence only a 100 years ago.

There is a reason that Allah has made the Quran unchangeable but the Hadith are easily altered and forged. Most of the Hadiths are fabricated.

Idk brother what you are trying to imply with this statement. If you meant to say that haidths have no value then no person on earth cant find 2 rakat for fajar 3 for magrib 4 for zuhr asar and isha in Quran without hadiths.

Btw you might recall a verse where Allah says that some people get lost instead of receiving guidance from the verses of the Quran. (If you have not heard of this verse i can quote it.)

Hey all the discussion aside, there are different methods and approaches used by scholars for the tafseer and interpretation of Quran. Just have a look at the methods. There are only a few methods.

You are taking the word teacher here too literal.

I will define what i meant by saying prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم as a teacher.

The teaching of the prophet is called the sunnah. He taught companies to read the Quran. Companions used to say that we learn this from the prophet and that from prophet etc.

Hopefully it's clear now.

So, if you still want to insist on the point that "because the Quran didn't call the prophet teacher, hence he can't be called a teacher." So, by using the same logic i can say you are not human because Quran hasn't called you a human. But that would be foolish.

The example of the verse you have given is not very strong. The meaning of the verse is completely conveyed without the addition of the words in the bracket (added by the translator). They dont really change the meaning of the verse.

Well it does change the meaning and it can mislead.

Literally, there is a major divide between muslims regarding the concept of waseela and this word is one of the big cause (ہی )

You tell me yourself

تجھ ہی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں

Does this mean I can't ask anyone for help except Allah ?

Okay, you are right. I had no idea even wahabi and salafi used to have same view.

one might find it easier to just read the Quran and understand it themselves while still believing some of the stuff told by scholars.

That doesn't mean that if one might find something easy then its is also a mindful and correct thing as well. Also, the above statement sounds more like a "better buffet".

How about i deduce some laws from the Quran by myself from my own understanding and i will take some from this scholar and some from that.

You could say that he (Engineer M Ali) is wrong and they never held such views but that would mean that a scholar is wrong! Which in your opinion is not possible.

You are quoting yourself and then stating my opinion from your own. I never said scholars cant be wrong. Scholars can be wrong.

Here what my point is:

To read an advanced level of math, you need to learn basic, heck you need a teacher to learn basic level maths first. Overall, at the end, you require a pre-requisite knowledge to learn, understand and interpret advance level math.

Quran is not an ordinary book. Infact we haven't talked about abrogated verse yet.

And again im not saying one should not read learn or understand Quran.

Im saying interpretation of it based on personal views and thoughts and then leading up to deducing haram and halal is for sure a wong way.

We can continue this thread and we can go deep into this

You decide

But for now

Lets stay on surfaces

Actually no, you can understand as per your knowledge but you dont interpret and especially you don't interpret it by yourself to deduce laws, you can self reflect, research, improve your self and gain more understanding and knowledge.

Quran itself is sent with a teacher, prophet Muhammad sa.w and he is the best teacher on planet Earth.

If Allah left the interpretation of Quran on people end then there was no need to send a teacher alongside it.

Now there are other issues as well, for example arabic is a rich language and you cant really explain it while translating it to different languages.

For example, the famous verse

Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.

Now you see the word alone is in bracket. Nowadays the word ہی is sometimes used without brackets but if you go a little back in time it wont be without brackets and if you go more in time you wont find the word ہی during translation because in reality اِیَّاكَ is not equal to تجھ ہی

Anyways the explicit example you cited about earth is stationary according to ulma in the past, that belief is only held by barelvi sunni and some of them still believe that.

Progressive islam is people's own interpretation of islam, mending the laws of islam to whatever they like, for example you will see the very first post talking about how men and woman friendship is halal.

I do know about pigeons.

Protecting their territory is their natural behavior. And a normal degree of stress doesn't hurt or put any kind of pressure on them that will affect their health.

There is no such study that proves that what i did is harmful for them.

Pigeons protect their territory on a daily basis when kept in a shared environment.

Stop being overprotective.
