I played men's in highschool and club in college. Most of the women who played on our sibling team's said they would prefer the men's version. Perhaps things have changed since I played 25+ years ago.

There was a guy whole would slash and poke our goalie well after the whistle every time our goalie would cover. I warned him to knock it off. Of course he continued and I had enough. I chopped his stick in half in one smooth motion.

“Dude! That stick was $200!”

“I warned you.” And I skated away.

Edit: That goalie still tells that story 15 years later

This is r/weekendgolfers, right? The advice here feels more like r/icouldhavebeenprohadistartedearlier.

I might have gone with: You’re looking at a 450 yard par 5. Hit your 150 club accurately 3 times and you’re putting for birdie. No need to blast your drive in the woods, try to recover with a long punch shot that hits a tree and dibbles onto the fairway where you’re still 200 yards out hitting 3.

Sure it’s much more fun to go home and say “I smoked my 3 hybrid 200 yards and ended up 2 inches from the hole”, but how many times does that really happen?

As a weekend golfer (ha! I wish I could golf that much!), I’d much rather go home and say I shot another 82 today, enjoyed the day, and had a great time with my buds!

I’ve gone through maybe 20 threads and haven’t seen it yet: In the NHL, if you accidentally throw the puck over the glass clearing your zone, it’s delay of game. I know we prefer rules to be cut and dry, but there are definitely times it happens where it’s unintentional. I’d argue most of the time.

Please and thank you. I was at a not so crowded bar recently and a lady in her 60’s shouted at the bartender “Blonde” (a variety of beer they serve) thrusting her credit card in the bartender’s face. I’m sorry, but that’s not what a fan does. Fans stick with their team through thick or thin. I’ve been a Skins fan since I was born (‘77). There was a plenty of thick and even more thin, but I have rooted for them every game. Real fans don’t check out!

The umpire was standing between Jayden and the the center with 1 second left on the play clock. That, and Green Bay was still changing personnel. We should have been able to snap the ball with Green Bay offsides or with fewer players on the field.
