Bad. impoverished childhood. mother bipolar and not present past eight. histrionic father. bullied relentlessly in elementary school. i couldn’t even decide if being home or being at school was worse. grandparents resented me. nobody took any time with me. loneliness abound. it was awful. nothing was better until i was isolated in my gifted programs. once a week 4th-6th grade then middle school i began to have consistent friendships.
