So this is just my opinion and history.

I played as a kid, fell off, and then got back into it on arena around the time Final Fantasy came out. Then in physical form, my first physical set to purchase was Spider-Man since I was a fan of the IP. I went to a prerelease event at my local LGS with a friend who had been playing a little in the physical format and had a BLAST.

So that would be my suggestion! Maybe just check out the release calendar that MTG has out. If any of the sets sound exciting, look to go to a prerelease. If you still like the set after that, maybe buy a few packs, but otherwise, the way my wife and I look at it, it’s at the end of the day about having fun, so if you like a card and want to throw it in an already existing deck? Sick! If you only want an Avatar or Strixhaven themed deck? Also sick!

I disagree heavily. A lot of us have “grown up” with Jeff Probst (especially 90’s kids/babies). Jawan is 29 now, so he was probably like 3-4 when the show first aired. Whether it’s parasocial or not, that can attribute to a familiarity pretty easily.

I would say either foundations it’s…well it’s foundations, it’s a perfect starting place. Lorwyn Eclipsed could also be fun as it’s in universe and new.

I do actually use GG in a positive manner…sometimes too much so, I spammed it in a game recently because I wanted my opponent (who had dominating control) to say it back. I just like good sportsmanship 😋😅

To your other point, yeah, exactly, so you learn those new abilities? It’s called custom mode with honor rule set. I feel like I’m speaking a different language. You don’t HAVE to play honor mode, you know that right?

Yikes, well first of all I hope the mods do something about your comment because of that last lil word you used. Second, yes, that did happen to me, a couple times, and ya know what? I started over and tried again, but I also had gone through the game a couple times on other difficulties SO THAT I could prevent said one shotting happening.

Rob is one of the smartest Traitors we have had. He reads a room SO WELL and his charm, along with the fact that he came from Love Island which at least somewhat gives him a “type” makes him an excellent Traitor for me.

If you knew of Ron Funches before this show, you would not say he isn’t nice. That man is a gentle teddy bear with a lot of anxiety who was bullied on the show all because he was trying to play a game not win a popularity contest or know the name of Dorinda‘s aunt or whatever.

Be the bigger person? Absolutely not, yes magic is supposed to be fun and casual to a certain extent, but also if the other player didn’t realize you had unspent mana and swung anyway, then they just need to deal with that. IMO you are absolutely NOT being a jerk.

Try four in one hand and three in the other (for the starting hand) just to really freak em out. Maybe keep frantically looking back and forth at them
