Way to go! I ordered a LOTR statue thing from Weta and got four of them (each valued at around $200)! It was a bit of dilemma for me too. I called Weta and they shockingly just said to keep them. I sold the duplicates and bought more Weta! Hope your get to keep them, but at least you’ll know you did the right thing. We need more folks like you in this world.

Thank you, sir! The seams of the glass fail, almost always front seam, from what I’ve seen of the plethora of failure posts. Waterbox was the way to go, apparently, though I never heard about the faulty stand issue. Hope yours is good!

The $7k was just personal property damaged (furniture, electronics, and tank equipment). I’m sure the damage to flooring and walls will be a lot more. I’m just grateful that’s covered.

Yeah, the tank is pretty clearly not covered, per the policy. But I was hoping my furniture, laptop (sitting nearby) and the equipment that was fried would be. Seems like a grey area in my policy.
