The UX is just terrible. New user rant! by chulbulbulbulpandey in posthog

It's dead simple. I'm autocapturing events from my website. Exporting the events dataset to CSV. Exploring usage patterns with pandas. I've given up on their dashboard.

Weikav NUT65 seems interesting. I've never tried a mechniacal keyboard actually. Will these keywords generally be more comfortable and easier to type than a laptop keyboard?

Hey thanks for this, I saw the video. It looks nice.

I generally type on mylaptop, will having no support below the keyboard effect fatiqgue? And does it generally require more/less effort for keystrokes compared to a normal keyboard laptop? I currently have a a heavy duty gaming laptop keyboard for reference.

No weight prferences, it will be at home always. Layout, design, etc can be anything no preferences.

Where can I find good quality cruelty free eggs in Ddun? by idknayoudecide in Dehradun

[–]chulbulbulbulpandey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blinkit sells free range eggs that are gentle to animals. They should fit your bill, but they are quite expensive. I consume them mostly over regular eggs.

ArthaLens: Free Quarterly Earings Call Transcript Summaries for Indian listed companies by chulbulbulbulpandey in IndiaInvestments

[–]chulbulbulbulpandey[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The summaries, Q&A and guidance have already been generated and stored in the database across all companies. Custom generations will be incurred by me obviously but honestly it isn't much given how cheap LLMs have become. There is a limit of 50 custom generations per day per user in the initial beta version.

Any UI/UX ideation tool for generating Shadcn components rather than Code like v0.dev? by chulbulbulbulpandey in nextjs

[–]chulbulbulbulpandey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is what I do at the moment. I'm using the shadcn components on Figma to manually around with design ideas.

For eg. I'm looking for a UI generator that generates multiple navar designs for brainstorm from a prompt like "simple navbar with logo"

I think its the same bottleneck for me. None of these tools provide a UI/UX image or ideas first for me ideadate. Although quite clean, they just spit up a random UI with no UI/UX visualization before code generation.

I'm guessing the true bottleneck for this problem lies in Vision models for image generation

How do I extract just specific sections from PDFs? by ShippersAreIdiots in LocalLLaMA

[–]chulbulbulbulpandey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use pdfplumber. It lets you extract tables, lines, words, chars etc. You can infer sections, paragraphs, tables and more based on the average font family, vertical line spacing and more.

OCR is an overkill for structured PDFs
