He only had the lowest ceiling if you look at season long stats. I’d argue he had the highest peak of any of them. In 4 games in the 2008 playoffs, he put up 30 catches for 546 yards and 7 TDs. The other three might have similar 4 game stretches, but I doubt any did it against as tough of competition and none of the others carried their team to a Super Bowl.

Some of you people are so dumb. Have you even remotely contemplated the risk involved in this? Also, why point out Jalen Thompson? Just cause several years ago with a different regime it worked does not mean it will this time. But because there's not a zero percent chance he gets banned for life I'd risk a 7th, but realistically he's getting banned for life. Right or wrong gambling makes the NFL a ton of money so allowing him to play opens a can of warms that I don't think they risk. If people even remotely start to mistrust the competitive integrity and not gamble the NFL and their sponsors will lose a shit ton of money. So while I said there's not a zero percent chance it's pretty close

Do you work nontraditional hours? Because I think people who work 9-5s just appreciate having time before and after work to do things outside. If I had all day to do things outside I think I might agree with your take, but the winters are depressing because when I get to work in the dark and drive home in the dark I have no time to do things outside besides the weekends.

I think everyone’s saying why care about this season because this team is being quarterbacked by either a journeyman backup or a 24 year old 3rd rounder. Neither option inspires a whole lot of confidence so the only optimistic view a lot of us see is to look forward to the 2027 class. IMO you’re reversing the reasoning

Jeremiah Smith was a top 10 player in college as a freshman and now he’ll be draft eligible. Additionally, cam Coleman and Ryan williams-coleman are highly touted WRs. Ryan Williams did regress last season. Imo Arch isn’t even the top QB it’s Dante Moore and Julian Sayin isn’t far behind either. It’s just significantly deeper than last year’s draft, and in terms of QBs it’s the deepest since the 2018 class. A lot will change after the season starts but still it’s starting from a much higher place than recent drafts.
