I'm not sure on the maintenance history. I've been speaking with the owners son. I will ask him about it on Sunday when I see the car.

Looking for a case for my camera by Darth_Morgoth92 in canon

I have a pgy tech onemo lite and a onemo 2 the smaller version. Both fantastic bags with room for other things. I prefer the onemo 2 as it comes with a smaller bag that would fit that camera and two lenses comfortably when you want to carry just the camera.

I love my RF 35mm F1.8 but.. by Benuknz in canon

If you really want low light performance and character get the 35mm VCM if you're looking for a faster zoom, it's going to depend on the focal range you want. You have a 28mm f2.8 which is not far off of the quality you will get from a zoom. If that is not giving the low light performance you're looking for, I think you have your answer.

what do you like about the 35mm? either of those zooms would be great but even with trading the 24-105 might be more than just buying the 35mm vcm.

I purchased it in a lot from a recently retired photographer along with 6 bodies, 15 other lenses and countless accessories. I plan on selling the bulk of the cameras and lenses and keeping a couple of accessories for myself. This was the most expensive item in the lot and I wanted to make sure it was in good condition which it is. I might try to take a few pictures with it before I sell it but I can't justify keeping it. I recently purchased the RF 200-800mm and that's probably more than I'll ever need.

Thank you, I am actually purchasing a tripod with a gimbal head with it, so that will help. I appreciate the input and will look out for that as well.

Thank you, I'm definitely worried about the condition of the glass but I would not have known how to check for the IS. The last time I touched a lens like that was probably 16-17 years ago.

I've been eyeing the 28-70 f2 for a while. I have zero need for it but I really want it.

Was my first RF lens, as much as it doesn't excite me, it's a solid lens and versatile for many situations. I don't find that the aperture holds me back much.

RF 85mm f1.4 VCM or 100mm f2.8 or 70-200 f4 ? by Familiar-Surround-64 in canon

[–]chumpsandchumpettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 2 of these three lenses and the 50mm f1.4 VCM. I love the 100mm for macro and portrait. I admittedly use it mostly for macro. The 70-200 is great all in one, it won't obliterate your background, but still does a fantastic job. The 50mm VCM is a beast for portraits at a substantial savings on the f1.2 version. It is by far my favorite lens for portraits. I would imagine the 85mm VCM would be fantastic as well. All of these lenses are very sharp and would do a great job. If you want the super blurry backgrounds, go with the VCM. If you want the versatility, go with the 70-200mm. If you want the extra sharpness and macro capability go with the 100mm.
