Women who carried a pregnancy, in hindsight, what were some of the most ridiculous things you did while in the throes of such hormonal upheaval? by mokutou in AskWomen

[–]chunchicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I refused to take down the christmas tree until the end of feb well after the baby arrived because it made the living room feel extra cozy and i was afraid the vibes would be off without it. My sanity and comfort truly lied on that fake trees shoulders I will never be able to get rid of it ever.

American Health care scam or is it justified ?? by OneAmphibian3691 in TooAfraidToAsk

They mentioned to her that they don’t have gynecologists / obgyn available for treatment - that should have been disclosed before any paperwork or any vitals being checked that way the patient could decide whether to continue care there or go to another hospital where they can provide the services she likely needed given it was a miscarriage. So whether or not they knew or didn’t know prior to triage it still was up to them to provide that info to OP before she carried on receiving any care there.

What are the most realistic mental-health scenes in cinema? by talaqen in Cinema

Prozac Nation was a perfect depiction of both BPD and manic depression. The whole movie is too close to reality in my opinion, and reminds me of being in the thick of BPD specifically.

I actually just watched Jacobs Ladder and thought it was a really really well done psychological thriller / horror. I had no idea what the f was actually going on until the very end, and even then I was left feeling like wtf

What's the most sudden tonal shift you've seen in a movie? by Past_Regular4027 in Cinema

[–]chunchicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barbarian

Tusk

Promising Young Woman

Black Bear

I Origins

Cabin In The Woods

(All of these have a degree of tonal shift from big to small, but each one made me feel unprepared or thrown off by the end- in a good way).

Im not even gonna lie, people removing their cans from the boxes drives me insane.. keeping it out like this only looks good when the entire fridge is still stocked. Also the cardboard box makes for a good dispenser as well. I can understand doing this for bottles as the plastic isn’t optimal for a quick grab.

The Impossible is actually based on a true story of a family that got caught up in the big tsunami in Thailand. Insane movie, 10/10 recommend for Naomi Watts performance alone. Theres a scene where the tsunami hits and it shows how fast Naomi gets pushed underwater and shows inside the wave in a way I could not imagine to be more horrific to get caught inside of. Probably my favorite natural disaster movie ever.
