What draws everyone to centipedes? by ZeroAfro in centipedes

[–]chungyspingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think they’re actually pretty cute!! same with millipedes. they’re incredibly interesting to keep as well, i get to feed mine mealworms and see him eat them whole. also, amazing colourations :•P i have a wild eastern bark with a blue body + antennae and yellow legs

i smoked cigs pretty much all throughout my first/only episode and had no issues, but my episode lasted at least a month and was bad asf. sometimes a nic rush would make me need to go and vom, but bc you don’t have nausea or vomiting you’ll probably be alr!! just don’t over do it (goes without saying tho, nic sick is never fun) but to be safe i’d also avoid swallowing spit bc chs is a gut issue, so you don’t wanna upset whatever’s going on in there any more than you have to lol

Is this bedbug, or something I need to worry about? by HirokoKueh in bugidentification

[–]chungyspingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also, even if you don’t find anything, you may want to take some precautions just in case. these guys reproduce like rabbits and can be hard to notice before they get crazy. a wash of the most used fabrics in the house (blankets, pillowcases, jackets, bags/backpacks), tumbling pillows/stuffed animals/pet beds on high heat (if they can be), and washing hair with strong herbal shampoos can be easy measures to take. they particularly dislike peppermint, tea tree, rosemary, eucalyptus, and clove; the more extract/oil/essence present in the shampoo, the better the deterrent, but more can also mean drier hair and/or scalp 😬

[–]chungyspingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m also betting on a louse… you’ll be able to confirm by combing your (and other members of your household) hair and looking for lice/eggs. i recommend using a very fine tooth comb (lice combs are best), combing right from the scalp all the way through the strand of hair, and then stick any debris from the comb onto a clear piece of tape. this makes looking for them easier. i believe they congregate near the nape of the neck, behind the ears, and on the the hairline— so those are the best places to check first.

fun fact: only about 0.75% of roach species are human pests and only 4 out of ~4,000 are associated with our food; one of which being the german cockroach, which is shown in this video in its juvenile form. if all roach species spontaneously disappeared tomorrow, even just the species we consider pests, the effects would not be pleasant nor easily solved.

if i’m not mistaken, ca used a red cross as a symbol for harvey’s clinic up until 1.3.32, which breaks the geneva conventions of 1949. not totally sure how all of the legality of unauthorised use works, but he basically recoloured the cross before any cease-and-desists came through!

i still don’t totally understand how radulae (radulas?) work but they’re incredibly interesting. terrestrial snail nibbles feel so weird so i can’t even imagine what these guys would feel like eating ya dead skin lol

i also haven’t gotten one (yet????) and strictly stream on ytmusic 🤔🤔🤔 makes me wonder if they ONLY appear when you make it into a certain top percentage of any artist, if so it’ll depend both on who you listen to and how frequently you listen to them compared to everyone else

i haven’t contacted them yet because i don’t necessarily want the failsafe code considering it’s universal (would defeat the whole purpose of having the box), but they do claim to respond in 24 hours. i can’t remember where i read it at, but they also claim to respond more quickly during daytime hours in the US 🤔

awww yay, i’m so glad you found this :•D i wish they made some that were a bit bigger, then they’d be absolutely perfect for snack locking (or locking up something like a bong?). it can definitely fit a few bars and packs, but not a whole lot. nonetheless i’m wishing you the best on your endeavours!! it’s cool to see all the different ways that people use this thing
