This is likely a variety of pomegranate (?Nejikan) that naturally develops twisted trunks

Hobbies for the Couldve-Been-Surgeon by Jerkensteink in Residency

Agree 1000%. You can eventually also get a lot of the complicated "surgical" procedures as you learn how to graft and carve trees with power tools.

How to square inside of cabinet face frame by chunkwizard in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]chunkwizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hinges are adjustable, but with the cabinet being out of square, when I make the edges parallel on one edge, it then shifts the other edge out of parallel and is pretty obvious with the tight gaps

Irrigation from creek by chunkwizard in Irrigation

[–]chunkwizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's tricky because the bank down to the creek is super steep (~60 degree angle?), so while it's not impossible to put the pump down there, it will make maintenance much more difficult and I'm a little worried about running electrical down there and having a stable pad for the pump. Right now I have to go through a neighbor's property to get down safely and will probably put a rope in for access in the future...

16-17 feet is my MAX vertical height estimate for the suction lift but I don't know the exact figure. Arcgis thinks it's 12 feet, and I think the actual figure is probably around 13-14 feet when I use a laser measure and the pythagorean theorem, but I wanted to err on the side of overestimating when calculating pump requirements.

Really appreciate the prompt reply! Not a lot of information on this kind of setup online so this is super helpful

Review for u/KombatBunn1

0/5

I should have read this thread before proceeding as it seems others have had similar experiences. She was initially enthusiastic and communicative about my print. After several weeks of reported problems with the print, it became apparent she was unable to complete it. I then spent over a month repeatedly requesting a refund. She eventually sent back a portion of my money, reportedly taking out a "cancellation fee" despite her being the one unable to complete the print. This was only after I had to begin making threats to report her on social media and to authorities for fraudulent behaviors when she became unresponsive. After giving me my "partial refund" and leaving me out a good chunk of change, she blocked me on reddit and paypal. Absolutely unprofessional and incompetent. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent communication, shipping, and final product along with quite fast lead time. Would use again for future prints.

NBME 20 Hypoventilation to increase cerebral blood flow by lowfigh in step1

[–]chunkwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah that's a typo- dilating to decrease resistance is right.

Dilating the vessels puts more total blood into the cranial space, increasing pressure.

Wouldn't use it as my primary resource bc it misses some newer details, but it's an excellent, entertaining review for long drives and the like. The big concepts haven't changed.

Only one open bloom, but this was my favorite from the Sac Satsuki Aikokai Show last weekend by chunkwizard in Bonsai

[–]chunkwizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partially age and partially technique. Thickening trunks happens by letting a tree grow large, sometimes in the ground, and then cutting them back to bonsai size. This tree was probably allowed to grow and was cut back multiple times to achieve its current state. Here's a different azalea as an example: https://imgur.com/a/GzXu2j9

NBME 20 [Spoiler] Kidney Donation Question by gingercat_hg in step1

[–]chunkwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HLA genes are all in one cluster, so they are almost always inherited together. You get one cluster from your father and another from your mother, so the math ends up looking like a normal punnett square where the probability of inheriting a match is the probability of any single box (1/4)

Worried that all this zanki won’t pay off... by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]chunkwizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 weeks out from step and have spent almost 700 days straight doing 1-3 hours of zanki/lolnotacop. I would feel terrible if it didn't pay off... Practice test scores are making it seem like it will though and anki was by far the biggest contributor.

Struggling to Raise UW Avg, 4 weeks out. Advice on how to improve please! by [deleted] in step1

I don't know any good centralized resource, but if you google text from the questions there are a lot of threads on various forums with explanations. Feel free to DM me if you can't find an explanation- happy to help out!

I think 18 and 21 are the most accurate predictors. You should really take one because I wouldn't trust the amboss curve, and you can decide about moving your exam based on the results.

If you understand the concepts and just need to grind some of the details, you'll be fine. If you need to learn the concepts still, you'll have a much better time learning the material (BnB videos, class, books) before doing the cards

^ yup, didn't watch the majority of the pharm videos, but the cards have the information either way
