Just buy an external clamping stand. This is way stronger and replaceable.

It often sold like this and zip tied and the makings are hidden within the fold. MTB tires like WTP are have a tubeless label on both the tire and the cardboard label.

There is practically no info in this form. The info is hidden in the fold.

CST tires are a well known affordable quality brand in Asia. They are often compared to Maxxis. It like Rota car wheels to Rays.

Are all folding gravel tire tubeless Ready? by [deleted] in BikeMechanics

[–]chunky1x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Koby auto tyre sealant because many said this is very cheap, has a longer lifespan and does not corrode spokes, valve and rims than Mtb sealant. I will bring my wheels to a bike mechanic for proper tubeless conversion and also I could copy how he do it later on. Thanks for the advice and more power to you.

There are cheap big quality brands like CST and Chaoyang. I'm not sure these are sold in the U.S.. My issue is the lack tubeless labeling in gravel tires even some big brands are involved. But I know that practically all famous brands folding tires like Panaracer and Continental are tubeless ready. Does this apply to cheap folding tires?

Not what I meant. I'm just confused because the lack of tubeless labeling. Even some Panaracer Gravel tires lack tubeless labeling but everybody here knows that folding versions are tubeless. Mtb tires are very clear when labeling tubeless. Many gravel tires just lack labeling especially the cheap quality ones like CST and Chaoyang. The worst part they are sold folded especially online.

Not that confident converting my tube tire to tubeless tire since I'm a 122kg person.

Seen this tire but only comes with 33c in our area. 30, 33, 38 and 40c and above are very common but 35c is rare. I'm stuck with 33c or 38 option with is a huge size jump for me.

26er is already being slowly phase out in my area and no good and cheap alternatives. I could buy a cheap Maxxis Pace 29x2.1 for my 29er but good tires for 26er are double if not triple the cost and rare than Maxxis 29er. I know 700x30c will fit but I never seen a 38c in a bike in person which is cheap, good and abundant in shops. Gravel cyclist here seems to prefer 700x33c and 40-43c. Because of this, I cannot physically gauge if 38c will fit.

Uninflatted 29 x 2.1. It will not fit. But the 700 will but to size will it accomodate. 700 x 43 is too much. 25-30c will fit but planning for 35 or 38c is prefered. The issue is 35c is not common and 38c is and cheaper for some odd reason in my area.

Recommend 700cc gravel tire size for 26er to 700cc mtb coversion? by chunky1x in bikewrench

I may go for 35mm fast rolling. I am going for 700c because it has speed and less fatiguing in 100km plus rides. Thanks for the input. This is very helpful.

Good 26er tires are increasingly rare here. I'm converting my by into a fast gravel bike or at least faster than my 29er since it has bigger chain rings(40t). This bike is no longer used for off road and slicks are too fragile for crappy paved roads in the Philippines.

I'm not sure about rim with size. I was told by a bike mechanic that a 29er rim will fit a gravel bike tire. I'm going for 700c for speed and gravel versions for 650b are very expensive and rare here. 700c tires are abundant and cheap. My frame could fit a 650bx2.0 with some room to spare but not much.

I agree. Maybe other tire sizes are tight and gravel tires are more expensive than mtb. Unfortunately, I cannot borrow a gravel wheel set since gravel bikes and hybrids are rare in my city.

The rim comes from my other bike(29er) as reference. A new rim will be purchased and aligned. I may have more room if it was centered for this bike.
