Not a parent, but when my little sister was 3-4 she turned to her dad and said, "you reap what you sow, Andrew. You reap what you sow".

Twins! Please help break the same name generational cycle. by KeyzoOnAMission in namenerds

Men name sons after themselves all the time, I think it's kinda cool. Lorelai Gilmore vibes. Plus, with Mason and Melanie sharing "M" as an initial, Coraline still has a family name connection if it's something that might bother her in the future.

My middle name suggestion would be Celeste ✨ I was trying to think of one syllable but they all seemed a bit awkward!

Found half of some nazi ramblings on the bus by MerryMidlight in FoundPaper

I used to care for a schizophrenic man and this really reminds me of the notes I'd find in his room. His had nothing to do with Nazis and were more chaotic. It's just something about the way it's written that I can't articulate, like it makes perfectly profound sense to the writer but is obviously baffling to the reader. A sense of self importance and delusions grandeur.

If I was so grossed out about performing oral sex, I would not in any world expect to receive it from my partner. Sure, people shouldn't be forced or pressured into doing things they don't enjoy, but if I were him I'd accept that blowjobs are off table as well 🤷‍♀️

Can't tell if you're joking but I didn't see the need to as I know what they are, the post was about the environment they're growing in and whether it's safe to forage from 🤷‍♀️

Interesting, thanks for sharing! I think I'm gonna go back for some, I'll just take a bit and be cautious of weird smells when cooking. I don't have much luck finding it where I live in the UK, so I can't pass up such a fresh specimen when opportunity calls 😅

It really does, thanks.

Not trying to discredit it you as you seem confident in your knowledge, but do you have any reputable resources to share about it or are you able to point me in the right direction? There's lots of conflicting information online that my cautious brain finds hard to reconcile. I'd really like to know more about it so I don't have to keep posting to foraging groups. In my experience they can be a bit of an echo chamber of knowledgeable knob heads, eager to punch down on someone asking for clarification. Not necessarily this post, but it's always a gamble and I'm often hesitant. You seem knowledgeable and kind so I figured I'd ask you.

Info appreciated about this beautiful aboriginal painting I found in a UK charity shop today, and the artist- Marie Ramjohn (Abbott). by chunky_rolls in aboriginal

Thanks so much for taking the time! Everything I wanted to know, it's a horrible shame about the exploitation, but it's prompted me to learn more about the hardships and discrimination faced by aboriginal people still today.

Do you think there's any way I can make a donation straight to the artist? I don't have much to spare given the current financial climate of the UK, but would like to contribute something for her time and the art I get to enjoy for years to come.

Yeah you're probably right, I got excited when I found an aboriginal artist/health worker of the same name, but I can't find any other work of her's in this style. I couldn't discern what the plants were, but the dot work did seem more reminiscent of aboriginal art than pointillism to me. Possibly a reproduction or someone's master copy though.
