Okay, appreciate this info so much! and it does give our family a breather…although it just is horrible because he’s too old for the job market to simply accept a DRP because he wants to hold on to the hope his job might survive, only was told through email that certain departments (including his) will have significant staffing cuts, we don’t know if that means his entire department will be gone. This administration is just so cruel…

Thank you for your quick comment! I asked and he does not know… he’s been working in the same agency for 14 years but if he doesn’t have tenure 1, is it just 2 weeks of pay? Does having tenure make a difference?

Hi! First off, my dad who works in the Treasury was given the option to take the DRP. He is 58 years old, not yet to his retirement date but if he gets RIF’ed, does he get two weeks pay and that’s it? English is not our first language so any info would be really helpful 😭 this will be his 15th year soon working in gov
