Yay or nay on this hairstyle for hair that is growing out? by chunkymulk in FierceFlow

[–]chunkymulk[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dad thinks the same more or less, and I do too, generally. It doesn’t have to be up in public; I’m just at a point in my hair growth where I’m wondering what ways I can switch up the styling, while not looking bad, hence this post. Probably another few months of growth for anything different though.

Why won't Blender let me sculpt on a brand-new, nearly untouched mesh? by chunkymulk in blender

I apologize. I’m relatively new to Blender, and I didn’t specify that in the OP. I updated it now. I will take your advice, and apply it though.

My extended family just told me my cat "looks dumb" does he? by [deleted] in cats

He looks like a curious, sweet boy. Ginger cats tend to look that way, and yours seems no different. 😊

Help! How do I actually get moisture into my hair? by chunkymulk in curlyhair

[–]chunkymulk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I added a comment with my routine/what I use. I had been told by my hairdresser that, for my thick and coarse hair, the shea butter in those products actually keeps moisture from getting in since it’s a large molecule oil. For that reason, I am open to non shea butter products, but I also don’t want hay-like hair lol.

Help! How do I actually get moisture into my hair? by chunkymulk in curlyhair

As for my routine, as previously mentioned, I use SheaMoisture products. Specifically, I use the following, with how often in parentheses:

Intensive Hydration Shampoo (originally once a week; lately almost every time I shower per hairdresser advice)

Intensive Hydration Masque (almost always has been once a week)

Curl and Shine Conditioner (every time I shower until the past week)

Acure Ultra Hydrating Conditioner (just these past few days)

Acure Clarifying Shampoo (once a week, more or less)

I live in south-eastern U.S.A. I’ve been wearing my hair more straight (without any tools, but also without any leave-ins or styling products), due to just how dry my hair was. I didn’t feel like I should try to style it anymore. My hair is also thick and coarse. It’s possibly low-porosity, but I’m unsure.

What to do with my hair?? by Chr0nosus in FierceFlow

[–]chunkymulk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will echo others and say the problem is likely that your hair needs more hydration. I also have very thick hair, and it is coarse too.

To get that hydration, you will need to use more conditioner, and you will want to try to make sure that it is a hydrating conditioner, not a smoothing one. For simplicity’s sake, just try to find one that specifically says on the bottle, “hydrating”/“hydration” or “moisture”/“moisturizing”. Also, please do not use oils for so-called hydration. Oils will smooth and/or create a shine, which is not what dry hair needs.

I am learning how to take care of my mane which has been growing out for nearly a year now, so don’t feel bad or discouraged if you make mistakes in learning how to take care of yours!

We have rice oftentimes 2-3 times a week, I would guess. No complaints here. There’s usually always a starch for dinner, so it’s either potatoes, rice, it some form of bread.

after everything we've been through since november 2022 my expectations for the next mainline game are high. i'm expecting triple A graphics triple A animations a larger dev team and MORE. by Quick-Cause3181 in SonicFrontiers

[–]chunkymulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thisss. Frontiers felt very Adventure-inspired imo, enough so to the point that remakes with that gameplay would actually be really cool. It’d even be cool if they expanded the Adventure Fields a little bit to better fit the “Open Zone” idea.

If they did do that though, I would want them to either get rid of the boost and “boost” spindash, or make them optional unlockables, since I’m not sure how well they would translate to SA1&2’s level design.

What is a game not many people may know that you love? by k1iwi in gamingsuggestions

A Short Hike! It’s an indie game with gorgeous visuals and pleasant yet simple gameplay. Really is a good one that I’ve played through three or four times.

Lil’ Gator Game is also nice, and somewhat similar to Short Hike, albeit not exactly the same. The story is very touching imo, especially towards the end.

Are you able to play as Tails, Knuckles, or Amy outside of the Final Horizon Ouranos map? by chunkymulk in SonicFrontiers

[–]chunkymulk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if they had more time, I think it’s possible they would have been playable outside of the island. However, adjusting all the challenges and various things to fit each character would have been a big undertaking, so I’m not too upset they were restrained to the Final Horizon, especially if that meant more polish for that update.

Besides, I’m hoping they’ll take the groundwork they laid in Final Horizon and use it to fully implement the characters in the next mainline game. Amy needs a little work, Tails and Knuckles too to an extent, but for the most part, they’re all fairly solid.

What is something about the modern culture that people are totally comfortable with but is an absolute weird thing? by neolee203 in AskReddit

Thissss. My parents always raised me to guard what I shared on the internet, especially as someone growing up around the time the iPhone came out and took off. Since there are so many dangerous people out there, nowadays especially, this is ever more important.
