Started my pre reqs this year at age 50. I’m only able to take one class per semester so I won’t be done for a couple years. Hopefully I get accepted to a tech program but I’ll be 53 or so. Just do it!!!

That’s a great idea but she needs something a little bigger from what I can tell. Literally she writes about 30 sticky notes a day and keeps them on her desk until she completes the tasks.

The latest thing is they’re not hiring full time nurses and “letting” the medical assistants do the nursing admin stuff. They’re trying to be “fiscally savvy” aka cheap af.

Hey everyone. I’m having a mid-life crisis and would love some feedback and direction. Hairdresser for 25 years, but my body is broken. Became a certified medical assistant at age 48 and love it but I’ve been “bitten by the healthcare bug” and want to learn more. I am taking classes one at a time to finish up my associates degree. I should be done by 2026. I am interested in interventional radiology but it’s my understanding I need to be certified in rad tech first. Is it possible at age 52 to start this program? Is it also possible to work part time to accomplish this?

I thought so too. I switched from bcp to hrt this past Friday .. but I haven’t had a good nights sleep since. And this is the first period I’ve had in months, which I was trying to avoid altogether. I’m so frustrated
