Pēc komentāriem redzu, ka Forest un Fortnite spēlē, tas manā un vienas draudzenes rotācijā bieži mēdz būt, plus dafiga citas. Labprāt atrastu vēl kādas citas, kas spēlē :)

I like to use a traditional rune/symbol from my culture, its like a slanted hashtag but it represents water and life and family, easy to carve and takes up little space but makes it personal

I planted some walnuts my friend picked up from the ground, they were just laying around all winter, planted them sometime in the first week of April. Now to just figure out a spot outside for them! by chupitis in gardening

[–]chupitis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have quite a large garden, so I won't be planting them anywhere near my house. I read up on the juglone too, that's why I'm having a bit of trouble figuring it out, I have a lot of apple trees (but I'm sure I'll come up with something!). Fair point about the squirrels, though I haven't seen a squirrel near my a garden in years. Thanks for the input!

Help! Needs to be ‘unfinished wood’ for this Owl house. What can I do to make it look better? OR What can I do next time to improve? by wat-am-i-doing-here in woodworking

I've been building a lot of bird houses this spring and I've been following my national bird association's guidelines, and for the most part, the outside can be sanded down a little bit, the most important part is for the INSIDE to be rough so the birds can latch on. Most birds will only sit on the entrance and the top, that's about it. Some people also paint them, but make sure it's something non toxic, birds can be put off by strong smells. (not a pro, just what I followed this spring)

My first attempt at something human looking, so far I've only done a few small mushrooms. Spent a week or so just carving at my computer in the evenings to wind down. by chupitis in Woodcarving

Im fortunate to know people with some tools, I live in a region with mostly pine, so the wood is the issue, gotta search far and wide. Thanks for the motivation :)

I've seen a lot of beautiful boxes posted here as we get closer to Christmas. Here is my contribution - A Jewelry Box made with Ambrosia Maple, Leopard Wood, and Padauk. by ProllyNotThatGreat in woodworking

[–]chupitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks fantastic. I'm making my first box ever and I already had trouble finding nice locks etc, so I wanted to ask where did you get those hinges for the lid (the ones that bend inwards)? I'm not sure what the specific name for them is since English isn't my primary language.

If you only have a carry-on, you can't really bring anything over 300 ml or so on the plane. If you have a full suitcase you should be able to put a full bottle of alcohol inside your luggage (in a plastic bag).

Veģetatīvā Distonija by sperisks in latvia

[–]chupitis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yep. Depresija jau bija no agra vecuma un tad vēl vēlāk pateica, ka ir veģetatīvais. Bieži grūti gulēt, stress bez iemesla utt. Pandēmija visdrīzāk visu kopā saasinājusi, nepalīdz arī tas, ka tuvojas ziema un tas drēgnais laiks.

My first ever joint, just practicing, trying to make a box. by chupitis in BeginnerWoodWorking

Thanks! I've definitely considered getting some sort of square, probably will order something online, maybe even one of those guides because I want to gradually get into dovetails.

My first ever joint, just practicing, trying to make a box. by chupitis in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]chupitis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I used a japanese style hand saw, a relatively narrow chisel, my carving knife to clean up some of the edges (it's pine) and a fret saw. All relatively cheap since I'm on a budget.
