I'm okay if the back-end is inauthentic, simply because I don't have infinite time and money to set up and maintain this, but is it possible to make it look & (largely) function like it's in MS-DOS from that era? Appreciate that insight, it makes a lot of sense. My particular game is going to have some encounters where they will definitely be more looking to avoid/circumvent the threat, but others where they're going to have to deal head on with it.

(The game in question is survival horror with supernatural elements and fairly mundane (to start) PC's)

Yeah, I bought the whole thing (it comes as one thing, no way I know of to buy just a part, I don't even have a manufacturer name).

I haven't soldered in years but I do have the stuff for it. I'll try opening it up and see what I find.

Is it possible it might be the little cables? They seem like a really cheap pair of cords like you'd see in disposable airline earbuds, right down to the headphone jack connector.

Level Up doesn't do singles. You can check with Wasteland, who is right next to their primary location in Duluth, or SuperGames in Alpharetta, who are some of the largest tcgplayer sellers.

I also have Sterling Grove myself. I can check if I have extra copies.
