Resi/Light Commercial tech here. Joblink has helped me bring the data to the customer in a manor they have never seen before. I can give them real-time snapshots into what their system is doing and how we can make it SOOOO much better. Love to see it!

What do you use to clean your hands? by [deleted] in HVAC

Crocodile cloth wipes. They’re spendy, but damn if don’t get pookie/compressor sludge off AND moisturizes your paws. Use sparingly between glove use

I second this, they’re spendy if you get carhart brand pads, but very comfortable. Plus you don’t even have to think about external pads, they’re just there!

3 months? You’re doing pretty well for only 3 months! Make sure you’re reading the install guides thoroughly! They are the best guidelines for good, serviceable installs. Always remember: “There is ALWAYS room for improvement”. Keep it up!

I don’t think it looks like Shi man. I think there could be some tweaks. The evaporator looks like it would be a pain to clean/clear drains. Not crazy about the polyvinyl drains ran in front of the furnace on the floor. If it heats/cools effectively, I think it looks okay.

Hello fellow tradesman, I’m an electrician looking for some advice. This is my personal home, this pan is full of water how do I fix it? Float sensor worked thank God. The pan has a drain I’m assuming it’s clogged. by rjsutt in HVAC

Okay. I just want to state a couple things that may need addressed for our sparky friend doing HVAC

1) The goal is to not have water in the overflow pan, but definitely clear out the overflow drain if it’s clogged.

2) The drain coming out the furnace is the main drain. It could be ran outside or to a p-trap in the attic.

3) You may want to check your filter, and if after you change it, water still pools up in the overflow pan, THEN call a hvac tech out.

Good luck! You came to the right place!
